Responsible for managing the corporate business, including the direct supervision of the day to day accounting functions including, financial
statement generation, external audits, tax and corporate legal issues all the international offices’.
Research and identify regulatory and tax compliance requirements for foreign operations including income taxes and VAT and/or GST, local
statutory requirements (including audit and transfer pricing requirements). Establish international legal entities, accounting and financial
systems for new offices and business unit operations.
Identify, hire and collaborate with international external accounting and tax audit services providers such as (Deloitte, PwC, and KPMG &
BDO) and legal services.
Establish processes to comply with in-country accounting, tax and legal requirements, in conjunction with service providers and international
offices staff.
Point of contact for external audits for all international offices.
Develop and maintain accounting, procurements and inventory controls procedures for international offices and business units and provide
training to staff.
Ensure the implementation of internal controls procedures, J -Sox compliance and corporate policy for international offices and business units.
Serve as the corporate office liaison with foreign locations and business units. Coordinate, obtain, and review financial information on an
ongoing basis. Maintain ongoing contact with local accounting/bookkeeping/tax staff, vendors and clients.
Review and analyze monthly financial reports, transactions and apply currency exchange translations and measurements in accordance with
Codification 830-20, SFAS 52, and IAS 21, to ensure appropriate accounting and financial reporting processes and accuracy.
Ensure consistent financial reporting to facilitate consolidation. Identify and maintain appropriate accounting treatment of intercompany an d
inter-unit transactions. Prepare and/or review assigned monthly account reconciliations and reports, and research and resolve reconciling items.
Perform monthly financial analysis for the international business units. Provide direction on financial matters for the international business
units and ensure the financial processes effectiveness.
Supervise the monthly and annual general ledger closing processes and financial statements preparation.
Perform international treasurer and cash management functions; in addition to the development and implementation of an annual international
tax plan in accordance to FIN 48 (for uncertain tax positions), and observations of the in-country tax laws for tax liability reduction
opportunities and optimization purposes. Supervise the resolution of in-country statutory tax audit issues in conjunction with the local tax
support team.
Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances.
Manage transfer pricing activities and review international offices transfer pricing studies for completion, filing and complian ce purposes.
Control the timely completion of monthly tax calculation s for prepayments, and annual tax returns calculations and local statutory related
filings.
Direct the day to day financial operations of the international offices, including clients’ billing, contracts man agement, payroll, labor contracts
and local corporate legal requirements.
Organize the billing of operations management, incentive fees and other fees monthly, quarterly, annually in accordance with the respe ctive
agreements.
Supervise the accumulation of permitted reimbursements from clients through the accounts payable process and bill these reimbursements to
the clients monthly.
Coordinate and record investments made in funds, securities, overnight funds, and pension plans funds’ investments.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local laws, rules, and regulations.
Successfully accomplished establishing and administration of all legal entities for my current employer, in addition to the implementation of
the international offices and projects financial systems. My contribution s include successful international tax planning with excellent results on
