Key Skills

Communication: • Whilst in the role of sales manager currently for Bullivant Media I manage a team of 10 sales reps and 2 receptionists and have daily briefings on a one to one level and weekly/monthly briefings on a group level. I am also comfortable, adaptable and experienced with dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone.

• Possess the ability to successfully communicate all products and services, however technical and through this experience have gained an understanding of the importance of adapting the way you respond to the person you’re speaking to and how body gestures, including facial expressions, pitch and tone of the voice can enhance ones communication and influencing skills.

Employment History

March 2010– Present Sales Manager for Bullivant Media

I am currently the Group Sales Manager for Bullivant Media. Bullivant Media is a very busy series of newspapers circulating across the whole of Worcestershire and Warwickshire.

At present I manage the entire classified and recruitment department for the whole group. In total I am responsible to manage 10 Sales representatives and 2 receptionists.

I have built my team up over the past 2 years starting from just 4 Sales Reps and 1 Receptionist and have grew the business and the team and ultimately the revenue for the newspapers.

My duties include:

Setting targets– Hourly, daily, weekly and monthly both individually and as a group.

Recruiting – Inductions – Sales Training- Future Proof System Training – Daily/Weekly and Monthly sales meetings both on a one to one basis and as a group.

Creating and design new innovative feature ideas and implementing them across the group to generate and drive more revenue for the company.

Reporting only to the Director daily, weekly and monthly figures.

On top of managing my team I also have my own individual target which I have exceeded EVERY week since my employment with the company in 2010.

I was fast tracked to management level as I started in 2010 as a Telesales Executive. Within 3 months a was promoted to Field Sales Executive, 6 months later promoted to the Manager of the Worcester Standard and ultimately 3 months later promoted to Group Sales Manager.

This is down to my ability to succeed and my attitude and desire to be the best I possibly can with my forward thinking and innovative ideas and management skills. The company obviously recognized this which is why I am the most successful and respected manager with the company.

April 2008 –Feb 2010Sales Manager for Shopacheck Financial Services

• Responsible for a team of self employed collections agents.

• To ensure agents are trained, motivated and hitting targets daily and weekly.

• Spotting and generating new business opportunities and also looking after existing customers.

• I would deal with any difficult customers and call to the customers home to discuss payments options etc to resolve any difficult situation.

• I had a new business target and a collections target to hit weekly.

April 2006 – April 2008 Area Manager for Buy as you view Ltd

• I started with the company as a collections agent. I would call out to around 100 homes on a weekly basis to collect money from the customers via a pound coin meter system.

• I would be responsible for all monies owed to be collected.

• I was also responsible for generating new business.

• I then got promoted to an area manager where I overseen the collection agents. I had a team of 6 that I would have to train, support and ensure they hit weekly targets.

Aug 2001 – April 2006 Telesales for Living Design

I worked for this company for approx 5 years. I started of as a telesales person, cold calling people at their homes to offer promotional vouchers towards the cost of a new kitchen.

I then progresses after 2 years to become the telemarketing manager and was responsible for managing a team of 20 telesales operatives.

I really enjoyed my role and it set me up for my future in sales.

At a young as I was responsible for recruiting, training and motivating a large team of telesales operatives to ensure weekly targets were hit and the sales reps diaries were full of appointments.

Hobbies & Interests

I play football on the weekend and captain both teams I play for. I enjoy socializing and spending time with my wife and 2 year
