Initial implementation of the POS upgrade was a leased line (T1)

solution that was converted to Satellite data services. Succeeding

the Satellite installation was a conversion to Internet VPN (Cable,

DSLx). Each migration was researched and analyzed for critical

factors such as cost, performance, availability, SLA's, installation

and conversion challenges, geographical coverage, DR effect, and

network backup. The upgrades were completely successful - providing

much better network performance than previous solutions, reduced

installation costs, higher site penetration rates, and better

flexibility in supporting the business needs. The costs were

repeatedly reduced to such a degree that the total store network data

expense was reduced above or flat over previous years in an expansion

from 500 locations to over 5000. A ten to one improvement in cost.

. Executive sponsor of an aggressive timeline project to deliver

Enterprise Mobility services via tablet devices for field services.

Coordinated the engagement of outsourced services for the complete

lifecycle of the devices. Investigated managed service partners,

device management solutions, device and /network security solutions
