I am submitting my resume in order to be considered for a position with your
organization as a Scheduler.
I completed a two year grad assistantship at the Marlin Fitzwater Center for
Communications at Franklin Pierce University. I was requested by the Director to remain for
an extended period of time to assist a second time with the annual “Presidency and the Press”
summer program. I had successfully doubled the student enlistment through a well executed
email recruiting/marketing campaign, unique research methods, and due diligence.
During my time as a grad assistant, I was responsible for event
planning/organization/management. I interacted with many members of the university
community including professors, students, Deans, and the President. It was essential for me
to handle issues in a tactful and professional manner with confidentiality being a priority.
My professional experience in the Sport Industry includes an internship in the Public
Relations Department at New Hampshire International Speedway as well as a year as a Public
Relations Assistant at New Hampshire International Speedway. During those two years at
NHIS, I was able to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience under the auspices of former
PR Director Lorraine Faford. I was also fortunate to be able to conduct an internship while
going for my masters in sport facility management under the auspices of Randy Meck at
Dartmouth College in the Athletic Facilities Department. This internship involved event
management as well as utilizing proper safety and risk practices during events.
I feel that my position as an Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant with Photon
Physics was invaluable and the duties that I performed in that position are essential in order to
be successful in this position. I managed administrative/executive tasks for the company
president, I assisted in preparing meals and preparing/packing for trips, and I also conducted
legal research along with organizing the legal findings into presentations/briefings for the
company president.
My combined experience in marketing, project management, and event coordination is
an excellent fit with the responsibilities for a position with your organization as a Scheduler.
Through my background in multiple fields, including higher education/university setting, a
position as an executive/personal assistant, technology, retail, and sports, I have gained
practical experience promoting events, producing marketing materials, working closely with
vendors, and providing meticulous support and research. Thank you for your consideration.
