Physician Compensation Manager

. Appointed by CAO to manage new department; created and established

department processes, procedures and accounting controls

. Provided leadership and management of the compensation plans and

employment arrangements for employee and independent contractor

physicians

. Administered physician contracts and the physician compensation

plans through plan development, implementation, and ongoing

Managed an independent consulting practice (sole proprietor) developing

and implementing compensation programs, including executive compensation

design, job descriptions, job evaluations, salary ranges, internal and

external salary comparisons as well as performance management design.

Clients included a variety of Latin American subsidiaries for Citibank,

HBO, and Ricoh Technologies. Although the projects varied in scope, the

overall atmospheres were similar. The Latin American subsidiary office

functions in a dual role.

. The first role provides compensation oversight and consultative

service to the Latin American region. This ensures the Latin

American region is consistently implementing the overall

compensation philosophy while simultaneously maintaining a

competitive position in each country

. The second role is to support the parent company though reporting,

HRIS system integrity and ensuring the Latin American region is

adhering to the strategic mission of the parent company and the

human resources philosophy

Major responsibilities included:

. Project lead for year-end merit and recognition program consisting

of communication, dissemination, collection, review and approval

process for merit, promotions, bonus and stock option grants.

Conferred with LATAM senior management and corporate office as

needed. . Negotiated solution with all parties involved to finish

the roll-up process for the region within deadline. Prepared

special analysis for LATAM senior management such as exchange rate

differentials. Conducted post-process analysis outlining best

practices for next year; sought input from all parties involved

. Designed a bilingual "Compensation 101" workshop for Latin

American HR Managers. The purpose was to educate attendees on the

theory in order to understand the company's compensation

philosophy. The program was very successful; its objective was

met and measured based on the quality of compensation questions

received by the LATAM headquarters HR Manager

. Analyzed individual sales commission plans within the Latin

American region (11 countries) to provide an overall summary of

approximately 4,000 shoreside and 40,000 shipboard employees with over $1
