Mechanical/Process Engineer/Technical Field Support:

. Successfully coordinated and implemented transfers and reinstallations

or rebuilds of silicone coating lines that utilized E-Beam and UV

curing systems from an Illinois facility to the Iowa Plant resulting

in a profitable production process.

. As a Project Manager, oversaw the start up of six new or redesigned

plants in Guangzhou, China, Eden, North Carolina and West Chicago,

Illinois facilities (Due to acquisitions-really worked for Loparex

since early 90's). Financially managed start ups and turned

responsibility over to new Operations Managers, after training them.

Designed coding stations, and plant and machine layout. Performed

capital planning and wrote up plans to justify expenditures for

initial layout, signed off on all equipment and hired initial staff.

Stayed on as Technical Manager in consultation with new Operations

Managers for a period of two to three years after start up to ensure

continuing success of initial plans.

. Led the project to upgrade antiquated curing ovens for a thermal cure

silicone coating line,

including capital planning, budget and sign off on purchases.

. Accomplishments included troubleshooting and optimization of process

controls for the aforementioned Iowa Plant.

. Extensive experience and abilities with AC/DC Drive Motors, Allen

Bradley, ABB, Siemens', PLC Controls.

. Highly skilled with Sullair compressors/dryers, Root vacuum blowers

and pneumatic handling systems.

extrusion to improve the lay flat effect of the product; supervised and

organized the startup of a forty million dollar Greenfield facility.

splices by PLC controlled hydraulics and pneumatics.

. Maintained process controls, optimization of production capacity,

managed raw material qualifications, cost reduction of the production

process through continual quality improvement, and troubleshoot to

minimize downtime for a polyethylene extrusion of lamination of paper for

silicone coatings.

. Utilizing schematics and blueprints for front line troubleshooting

with the startup of six major expansions and modifications of production

systems totaling fifteen millions dollars of capital expenditures.

. Assisted with the development and formulation of silicone chemistry

coating system to create the proper cross linking and adhesion when

applied to a wide range of substrates.

. As Technical Field Support, visited customer sites for various

troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical field service requests.
