01/2011 thru present. State of Alabama, Department of Public Health.

Montgomery County Health Department. Home Health/Life-Care Division.

Provides administrative support and performs specific clerical procedures

and responsibilities for Horizon Home care utilization to ensure that home

care operational processes are completed appropriately and timely as

evidenced by supervisor's observation and review. Work with the scheduling

of the Home Health Aides and patients on a daily basis. Monitors and

maintains administrative/medical supplies and office equipment including

voice systems for home health office so that supplies/equipment are

available, usable and safeguarded against theft, damage and expiration, and

reports problems as evidenced by supervisory review. Completes assigned

departmental documentation in a timely and accurate manner according to

agency policy. Communicates professionally and appropriately with all

internal and external customers so that information is shared accurately,

maintains medical records and performs timely filing of documents, performs

timely preparation for record destruction, and maintains client/personnel

registration and updates information in Horizon so that records are

complete and current as evidenced by record review and audit report.

Verifies eligibility, coverage and certification of each admission prior to

billing so that reimbursements are obtained for the provision of services

as evidenced by accounts receivable ledger and post-payments audit review.

Extracts and submits OASIS data according to federal, state, and agency

policy after Nurse Care Coordinator or supervisor review and approval.

Reports all problems to supervisor within twenty four hours of occurrence

as evidenced by supervisor's review. Monitors and maintains the Document

Manager feature of Horizon to ensure regulatory requirements are met prior

to billing as evidenced by audit review. Prepares reports documenting

departmental activities to include contract employee payroll so that

reports are accurate and deadlines are met with no valid complaint of

delay.

Patient Registration Specialist. Register patient information into computer

and scan all documentation. Update and verify patient demographics and

Assist Section Administrator with all aspects of the office. Assist Child

Nutrition Directors with information pertaining to monthly claims. Type

letters, file, and design tracking logs for department. Put together

Contracts and Proposals. Set up meeting areas for training for CNP

Directors. Assist State Directors with on-line application procedures.

Prepare travel documents for staff as needed and reviews for accuracy.

Accounting for the clients reports. Entered new client information into

the computer and calculations concerning 401(k) benefits. Typed and put
