operations. Process optimization of Submerged arc welding, material handling-silo
operations. Process and material traceability through RFID deployment.
2012 – 2013 Principal Materials Engineer, WorleyParsons, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Corrosion-erosion-material selection philosophy Material selection diagrams for oil-sands
beneficiation via SAGD and solvent extraction- mechanical equipment, piping, components and
wear plates and wear resistant linings Review-squad checks of welding procedures, heat
treatment procedures, non-destructive examination procedures, insulation and paint
specifications. Vendor Surveillance - Assessment of vendor capability for material quality and
performance. Corrective actions on fabrication and NDE deviations with engineering and other
stakeholders. Development of welding standards and specifications Review and updating
piping material line classes, wall thickness calculations, issue of deviation lists (TDN’s),
detailing piping component data sheets, purchase and fabrications specifications and validation of
auto-plant-MDB outputs. Selection of elastomer formulation and development of testing
protocols Techno-commercial evaluation report on valve substitution and surfacing of pipes
subject to lateral buckling.
2011 – 2011 Quality Manager, KNM Process Equipment Inc., Tofield, Alberta, Canada
Developing, running, and managing a Quality Management Program. Co-ordinating QC
activities with fabrication schedule for the manufacture of CS, SS and alloy steel pressure
vessels. Led the team during ASME and NB audit-corporate certification. Developed
welding, non-destructive examination, stress relieving, hydrostatic, pickling, painting and
insulation procedures, process traceability checklists, welding work instructions and ITP’s .
Reviewed & updated company standards and specifications. Technical support for
fabrication and procurement activities, mentoring junior engineers, problem resolution with
overseas engineering division, ABSA, vendors and clients. Quantification of welding
