Summary
I was the Nurse Manager of an extremely busy family practice in Jasper, GA. In November 2013 I fell victim of
practice restructuring and lost my job. I have been a Nurse for 19 years. I have worked in every department of a
hospital, mostly in the Emergency Room and Labor & Delivery. I also have several years experience in
correctional medicine, working for Cobb and Pickens County Sheriff's Office medical department. I have
extensive knowledge of mental health related illness and substance abuse issues. I also have extensive
knowledge of different medications and pharmacology from mental health medications to hypertensives and
diabetes, etc.
I also have approximately 5 years law enforcement experience. I served for the City of Canton Police
Department from 2007 to 2012. During my time as a police officer I was assigned to uniform patrol, assigned to
the Cherokee Multi Agency Narcotics Squad (CMANS), and Detective. I have taken several different classes
from advanced sexual assault to identity theft, credit card fraud, undercover narcotics, and crime scene

Volunteer Experience
Fundraising, community relations, Toys for Tots at Marine Corps League Detachment #1280
March 2012 - Present (1 year 11 months)
My husband was in 1st Marine Force Recon Battalion out of Camp Pendleton, CA. My husband, my son and
myself are all members of the North GA Marine Corps League Detachment #1280. My husband is a Charter
member of this chapter. He has served as Sr. Vice Commandant and Jr. Vice Commandant of the detachment.
I participate in several different fundraisers for our community. The biggest fundraiser being Toys for Tots
for all of North GA. I also participate in putting together care packages sent to currently deployed Marines all
over the world. We also give financial and emotional support when needed to our wounded warriors and their
families. God has given me a calling to help any Veteran and their family, especially those suffering from
PTSD. Sometimes war doesn't end when our troops come home, a lot of times that when war truly begins. ~

Interests
Relaxing at home with a movie or enjoying cookouts on my back deck with friends and family. My favorite
time spent is with my 15 year old son, Ely. He is my inspiration and reason. He goes to Pickens County High
School and is Chaplain for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He speaks frequently at different FCA meetings,
including Fields of Faith and by sharing his testimony at a recent FCA meeting. I am so proud of my Son...to
God be the glory!
