PROJECTS
A complete Chess Game on a Human Machine Interface
This project was done using an AllenBradely PLC 5 and a panelView HMI terminal. 64 pushbuttons
were created along with a ladder logic program so that any two people can play a complete Chess
Game on the HMI. RSLogix 5, RSLinx and FactoryTalkview studio were used.
Automated Part Transfer System
Programed 3 Robots (2 Adept Cobra, 1 Stäubli) using V+ language to do a part transfer operation
which included a PLC controlled conveyor system and object sensors. Light curtains and e-stop
switches were used for safety purposes.
Designing the new conveyor system for Schaefer Electrical Enclosures (Group Project)
Finding, specking, designing, installing, and finalizing a gravity roller conveyor system for Schaefer
Electrical Enclosures. Analyze potential problems with the spacing and layout of the conveyor
system with existing and structural components of the building. Improve the ergonomics and safety
for the workers for this area and hopefully the whole factory.
Vision System Reinstallation (Group Project)
Designed and Installed the old vision system (DVT 630, DVT 542CW) with the new vision system
(Basler scout GigE vision cameras) to expand the capabilities of new robots in Advanced
Manufacturing Laboratory. Wrote a manual with engineering instructions to Trigger I/O with the
captured Image.
CFL bulb Reverse Engineering project
Reverse engineered a CFL bulb in order to understand the functionality of the circuit and
components. A new PCB layout was designed using ORCAD software after the successful
examination of the old circuit.
