RECENT EXPERIENCE
Manitowoc Cranes, Shady Grove, PA ? Jun 2012 - Jun 2013
Mechanical Systems
Engineer
Worked in Performance Verification Center (PVC) to improve mechanical
systems in industrial cranes. Was involved in systems analysis for product
life improvement by investigating failure modes.
< 1. Electrical Swivel Slip Rings, e.g., this entailed housing problems
related to moisture penetration, rigidity and configuration of internal
components, mating surfaces and installation, wiring harness,
connectors and thermal insulators, electrical brush wear, heat
dissipation, brush arms moment and spring force. In addition, I
participated in Pre-Test Evaluation consisting of Ohm test, continuity,
HALT and life cycle testing of electrical swivels slip rings
< 2. Corrosion Testing, e.g., investigated corrosion on chrome finish of
hydraulic cylinders, painted panel samples for external application and
stainless steel samples by performing salt fog testing in the
accelerated cyclic corrosion chamber
< 3. Ultrasound Test, e.g., performed ultrasonic testing on boom welds
for crack detection
< 4. Material Analysis, e.g., assisted in material chemical analysis for
stainless steel, locking pin, and bolts
EARLIER ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Hill Air Force Base ( Ogden, UT ? 1999-2009
Mechanical Systems Project Engineer
Worked mechanical systems and components to support aircraft projects
related to sustainment and execution of systems diagnostics and
troubleshooting, maintained full responsibility in project management of
engineering projects, provided engineering assistance for procurement of
parts and systems.
< 1. Utilized problem solving skills in numerous projects including
engineering design change, specifications review, bill of materials,
engineering change orders, revision levels, technical order support,
and data cleansing, e.g. sleeve and spool assembly in accessory drive
