ATCA Platform Team:
ATCA or AdvancedTCA is a standard targeted to requirements for the next
generation of "carrier grade" communications equipment. ATCA specifications
incorporates the latest trends in high speed interconnect technologies,
next generation processors, and improved Reliability, Availability and
Serviceability. Alcatel-Lucent is implementing this ATCA platform which is
targeted to use in different Alcatel-Lucent products. In this time period,
I worked on the ATCA platform modules for WMS project from its start.
Was part of the SAE core team in having discussions with the SAE team
to review and finalize the requirements.
The major changes/challenge was involved in supporting new hardware on
ATCA chassis. The HA modules required enhancements to support it.
On baseline of the requirements, was part of the development team and
took the lead as scrum master to develop and deliver the product at
the scheduled time.
Involved in planning the release schedules from platform for the
application and played the role of delivery point of contact for
release documents updates and load deliverable.
I played the role of first point of contact for the issues from the
application teams.

CDMA-EvDO:
CDMA-EVDO is the 3rd generation wireless network that provides high data
rate broadband access in wireless network. The immense popularity of this
protocol is with less complexity and provides very high data rate of up to
3.1Mbps downloadable rate. VoIP solutions like Push-to talk have been
tested with the current REV-A feature. As part of this product development
team I am involved in analyzing the requirements, designing, reviewing and
developing features in the core network element Radio Network Controller
Implementation of REV-A protocol at application level.
Re-architecting the design in the Radio Network Controller to improve
the software performance and support of new hardware on cellsite.
Implementation of Broadcast Multicast feature in EVDO Radio Network

media gateway using SIP protocol on Windows platform - Multimedia
conference server is used to host conference for voice, video and
whiteboard application. SIP being the best protocol provides

. Designed and developed a Configuration system in C++ for a SIP proxy
server - SIP proxy server acts as a route manager for SIP calls,
maintains the user information who can be located at multiple
locations, and routes the call to the user appropriately.
. Designed and developed a high availability module in C for an IP
router - High availability of 99.999% is more desirable for critical
network elements like IP router. The High availability was designed to
work in Active and Hot standby mode and the data being synchronized
between the modules.

. Designed and developed a Cell Broadcast System for GSM/3G network
using C, C++. Cell broadcast system is an entity used in GSM/3G
networks to broadcast the message in a Cell, especially used by
advertisers.
. Integrated the 3G stacks MAP-U layer, GTP-C, GTP-U layer and had
provided a customized solution for a customer in US (LTS).
> In Class 5 Telecom switch/ softswitch development
. The Armillaire class 5 Multi-Service Switch is a voice communication
switch that supports standard ISDN PRI/PRA, MF and GR-303 interfaces
with ATM as backbone. My Role involved in design and development of
system services, IPC, Alarm management and redundancy management
frameworks on VxWorks platform.
