• Supporting Care Manager to become smarter in-relation to quality care delivery, training has

been specifically designed to help build leadership capacity and confidence, while also

heightening the awareness of participants to their own potential.

• Guiding managers to have an understanding of values of the company, knowing your people,

know what they needs .For example, signposting key employees, local sources of information

and advice, to focus on quality.

• Supporting manager to stocktake following the Winterbourne View, aim to focus on

developing the necessary provision for elderly care, or work services for learning disabilities

or autism, who may also have additional mental health or behaviours described as

`challenging`.

• Working daily in supported housing, residential and nursing care homes, working alone side

the managers, supporting them to develop leadership skills, in relation to the 16 essential

CQC standards, and the requirements of the award. The results have been significant with

much better staff retention, less sickness absence and fewer disciplinary and performance

issues.

• Aside from traditional taught sessions, I use blended learning approaches; individual coaching

and mentoring to encourage self-reflective; real-time projects on current organisational

issues; and action learning sets.

• Training manager to achieve (level five leadership and management award), at present my

cohort is 35, 10 managers / nurses, and 25 full apprenticeships level 2 and 3.
