Work Experience

Medical Laboratory Technician (ARUP Laboratories) – September 2011 – May 2013

Responsible for all blood tests performed on the automated instruments. Assisted the MLS in performing bench

work by performing manual testing such as ABO typing, cross-matching blood units to compatible recipients,

unknown antibody rule outs and ID and many others. Performed proper care and maintenance of automated

instrumentation used in the typing of patient blood.

Specimen Processing Tech II (ARUP Laboratories) – May 2010 – May 2011

Ensured patient care by evaluating and reviewing patient samples as they were received at the ARUP Laboratories.

Met/exceeded required processing turn-around times during duration of employment.

Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist (Biomat USA Inc.) – May 2008 – May 2010

Provided quality care of all plasma products received in the lab and processed according to standard OSHA/FDA

regulations. Various other phlebotomy/lab related duties.

Clinical Experience

Student Lab Instructor (Weber State University) – August 2011 – December 2011

Participated in a series of school related simulated labs that covered an array of real life scenarios.
