Gulf Air, Bahrain

Maintenance Planning Engineer

December’2008 – December’2013

Planned aircraft (A320/A330/A340), Engines, Landing Gears & Major Components maintenance and prepared all different

routine / non routine check work packages based on forecast. Developed a plan and co-coordinated with Maintenance,

Engineering Services and Materials for all modifications, inspections, and repairs (including ADs, SBs) on the fleet to

ensure availability of manpower, materials, tools, equipment, downtime and necessary paper work. Arranged & conducted

the pre-input meetings with relevant sections and also with MROs for heavy maintenance in order to avoid any possible

potential delays in advance which can be arised during the input and took shortage action in such situations for achieve high

technical dispatch reliability.

Represented aircraft phase out projects (16 Aircraft). Monitored the continuing progress of the phase out project in every

area from the kick off until the final closure of the deal. Analyzed and controlled any outstanding threats or risks that may

jeopardize the target re-delivery date.

Supported the annual Airworthiness Review schedule by ensuring the accomplishment of the aircraft records review,

physical survey, preparation of the Airworthiness Review report, closure of findings and issuance of recommendations to the

local authority for the renewal of Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A), in timely manner. Conducted facility audits as

assigned in the Technical Quality and Safety annual audit plan.

Managed & controlled the development, revision and control of all Gulf Air AMPs, engine workshop maintenance schedules

and associated task/job cards. Participated Reliability and Performance Review Meeting to discuss & review the revision of

the AMPs in line with operating experiences, in services experiences and the results of the condition monitoring.

Involved as a member of the team to set up TRAX system (software system) - Implementation, Administration & Execution.

Identified system bugs & informed to the relevant sections for their corrective actions.

Negotiated & planned all heavy maintenance (including C checks) slots with the approved part 145 maintenance

organizations (MRO).

Reviewed all completed maintenance work packages and updated in TRAX system accordingly.

Responded to quality deficiencies in the Technical Services Department when they arise from both internal and external
