RE: Cost Control/Project Scheduler
Dear Madam or Sir,
Please find attached my resume in application for the position of Cost Control/Project
Scheduler. I believe my past experience and solution-oriented attitude make me an excellent
candidate for this position. I would like to emphasize the following credentials that should be of
most interest:
20 years of progressive engineering experience, 14 of those in consulting;
•
Experienced manager of projects (including budgeting, cost estimating, and scheduling),
•
field operations, subcontractors, and staff at multiple levels;
Managed multiple small to medium size projects of up to $3.5M;
•
Multi-faceted professional experience including operation and maintenance (O&M) of water
•
treatment plants, construction management and administration, process controls and
instrumentation, process evaluation and preliminary to detail design of water and
wastewater systems, environmental site assessment and remediation;
A track record of being task and results oriented, highly motivated, and adaptable to
•
changing conditions having worked in Canada, USA, and East Africa.
Additionally, I possess a keen desire to optimize processes and procedures to achieve time and
cost efficiencies. As Project Engineer with AECOM and manager of an O&M contract for six
wellhead treatment plants, I initiated the development of a database for recording plant-
operating data. This endeavor resulted in more efficient tracking of plant conditions that assisted
the O&M team and the client to better predict treatment media replacements and operating
costs. I also prepared a preventive maintenance plan for the plants as part of this project.
I believe my technical background and strengths in project management, problem solving,
organization, and communication complement a company’s goals for efficiency and service
excellence. I would certainly welcome further discussion with you about my qualifications and
the benefits that I can bring to the Bath plant.
Sincerely,
Denis Pianarosa, M.A.Sc., P.E., P.Eng.
