About Tool: VATAT (Votarytech's Automation Specific Tool for Phone and PC)

Platform: Android

Description: VATAT is the one stop framework to test the capability and

stability of the features available on the device using the pre-installed

(native) applications as well as Third party apps. It is a end-to-end

solution for sanity, performance and regression testing of native

applications. Application initiates the test cases for the desired feature

to be tested from the list of test scripts available on the phone. User can

select one/more scripts from the list available on the screen and also test

the entire test events for an application repeatedly for the stability of

the phone. Each test execution results in generation of test result in a

file at specified path on the sdcard. These results can be viewed using the

View Results interface.

Responsibilities:

. Tested the scripts using this tool.

. Involved in customer specific test case execution.

. Analyzed the results, summary and logcat files of the executed test-

cases.

. Fixed the bugs in the automation test cases.

Project #1: Tambola Multiplayer game

Platform: Android 4.1

Third Party SDK: Alljoyn SDK (Qualcomm's SDK)

Programming Language: Java

Description:

Tambola is a multi player game based on numbers. A caller and N number

of players exist in this game. The caller contains 1 to 90 numbers and each

player will have N number of random tickets with 15 numbers in each ticket.

The caller calls 1 to 90 numbers randomly. At the player side if called

number exists that matched number in the respective ticket will be strike

off automatically. The winning conditions are Jaldi5, Row1, Row2, Row3 and

Housie. Game will be over when any of the players completes the selected

winning condition first.

Role:

> Created UI layouts for caller and ticket.

> Functionality for generating random numbers from 1 to 90 at caller

side.

> Functionality for positioning 15 random numbers in ticket.

> Integrated TTS (Text To Speech) functionality for the number called at

caller side.

> Functionality to change colour for called numbers at caller side.

> Show board functionality at the player side.

> Functionality for multiple tickets layout for player.

> Integrated the design drawables suggested by the designer.

Project #2: Design My Wish

Platform: Android 2.3.3

Description:

Design my wish is an application through which we can send greeting

card on occasions like New Year, Pongal and Christmas to our beloved ones.

We can create custom greeting cards by adding the text, icons and styles

whatever we want from the options provided. There will be pre-existed

backgrounds for greeting cards. We can also set the captured image from

camera as background. The customized greeting card will be saved in a

folder in sdcard so that we can share that card later through Mail,

Bluetooth and Messaging.

Role:

> Involved in the overall maintenance and fixed the issues of the

application raised by the test team.

> Added advertisements to the application using admob.

Description: Auto Scripter automates the test case execution for Third

party applications. The automation test case will be in XML format. The XML

and the generic APK are integrated with the VATAT tool. The tool runs the

test scenarios and generates the results and summary of the total test run.

Project #8: Intelligent Logger

Platform: Android 2.3.3

Programming Language: Java

Description: Intelligent logger is used to capture the logs of applications

opened, depending on the log types (radio, event and main) and priorities

(info, debug, verbose, error, warning) entered by the user. This app

captures some lines of logs with the given details and highlights the

required lines in green colour. These lines can be used later to analyse

where the application was failed or when the particular event has happened.

Role: Involved in User Interface design of the total application.

Asynchronous Messaging Service project comes up with a solution to

speed up the organizational process which helps to save time and man-power.

This project is a messaging service system between two business

organizations, Insurance Company tied to a bank. A person having the valid

account in the bank can take the policy and pay the amount online. After

paying the policy amount online an authenticated message will be sent to

the bank that payment has been received. This System eventually helps a lot

to speed up the process with less manual intervention.
