applicants for eligibility in the program.
. Promoted to Coordinator - Ensured LTWH Sub recipients were in contract
compliance regarding project activities, cost allocations, budget and
schedule. Review and approve funding requests.
. Organize construction procedures on NHP and coordinate the development
of an automated process with IT. Trained company Analysts and outside
Contractors how to utilize and maintain the system to reflect an
accurate status of the construction process.
. Confirm construction activities on over 500 homes were on target for
completion.
. Liaison between NHP Contractors and program Analysts to resolve any
disputes between Contractors and Applicants to expedite construction
completion.
2005 - 2007 Chevron Corporation, Pascagoula, MS - Refinery Plant
Renovation
. Finance Accountant on over a $100 Million refinery plant renovation
project. Review and approve monthly General Contractor invoices (up
to $5 Million per pay application) and process payment in Passport.
. Downloaded SAP cost reports to Excel, analyze and work with Project
Accountant to reconcile financial activities.
1999 - 2004 Jones Masonry Contractors, Biloxi, MS - Mason
Subcontractor
. Office Manager for Contractor - Set up company expenses on Quickbooks
Pro and process all accounting transactions. Assisted the company
Accountant with monthly reconciliations and taxes. Trained an employee
to perform all accounting transactions in my absence while I performed
field Quality Control (QC) activities.
. Field QC - Verify masonry activities (CMU, reinforcement, grout, etc.)
were installed properly according to plans and specifications on a 3.8
Million masonry project that included 4 dormitories, a hangar and a BX
at Keesler Air Force Base.
1994 - 1999 Roy Anderson Corp, Gulfport, MS - General Contractor
. Office Engineer - Review and process submittals, request for
information, review company project labor expenses, provide monthly
labor job cost projections, develop subcontractor bid list, ensure
subcontractor involvement in bidding process, analyzed bid quotes and
assist in the preparation of project bids.
. Promoted to Assistant Project Manager - Assist in the development of
project budgets, contractor scheduling, purchase materials, prepare
Owner billings, review Subcontractor pay applications and change
orders. These projects include the Grand Casino, Wackenhut Prison,
Gulfport High School Renovation and Casino Magic.
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from the
University of Southern Mississippi.
