PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2012 - 2013 Sanitation Driver, Inland Service Corp., Columbus, Ohio.
Operated motor vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight of over 26,000 lbs. to
remove trash, recyclables and yard waste from the city to various dump
sites. Conducted pre- and post-operational checks of the vehicles to
ensure their safe operation.
Achievements:
. Current State of Ohio Class-B Driver's License and Department of
Transportation Medical Card.
. Air Brakes brake inspector qualified.
. Made minor and major adjustments and repairs to the vehicles from oil
changes, greasing the vehicles, electrical repairs, remove and replace
tires, air and hydraulic line inspections/repairs/replacements to
engine overhauls.
. Lifted heavy objects by hand, forklift and power hoists to load onto
the vehicles ensuring the safety of myself and others involved in the
operation.
2010 - 2012 Cemetery Caretaker, Florida National Cemetery, Brooksville,
Florida.
Maintain cemetery grounds, facilities and equipment, as well as
perform the
installation and maintenance of headstones. Support Veterans and their
families in
times of mourning by providing exceptional services and assistance during
the burial
process.
Achievements:
. Used various backhoe loaders to dig burial sites and to install burial
vaults.
. Used skid steer loaders and forklifts to load and unload various
materials from box and bed semi-trucks.
. Used various mowers, trimmers, and other hand tools to maintain the
cemetery grounds.
. Assembled crates, using precut lumber and hand tools, to load machines
and headstones for transport within and outside of the cemetery.
1985 - 2007 Officer, US Army, Various Locations Worldwide.
Served in numerous positions from Second Lieutenant through Lieutenant
Colonel; leading, commanding, training and mentoring military and civilian
personnel during peacetime and wartime missions. Responsible to ensure the
mission was accomplished on time and within budget. Interacted and
communicated with both civilian and government agencies. Trusted advisor
to both military and civilian leaders on all matters which could affect the
US Army and the mission.
Achievements:
. Supervised, inspected and instructed over 150 military and civilian
personnel during assigned missions and projects.
. Supervised and trained military personnel to use X-Ray machines to
ensure all shipments entering the post and forward operating base did
not contain deadly or dangerous materials. Developed and used
standard operating procedures to remove and destroy any harmful
materials found.
. Opened shipping containers using various hand tools. Inspected the
contents of the containers and ensure the contents were transported to
the requesting agency.
. Assembled crates and material pallets, loaded the crates and pallets
by hand and with lifting devices per instructions.
. Loaded crates and pallets onto various vehicles, both ground and air,
and installed strapping bracing, padding and chains to secure the
materials during movement.
