Key Responsibilities:
. Strategy and Decision Making
I am considered a key member in decision making teams and regularly advise
at director level on aspects encompassing Production Assembly, Quality
Management, Production Engineering, Design, Purchasing/Logistics, Supplier
Development, Service Support.
. Product Quality Improvements
As part of the company product improvement strategy, Perceived Quality
Improvement teams were created. I have taken a lead role within these multi-
discipline teams with a view to improving the overall quality of product
delivered to customers and an enhancement of the brand image in the market
place. These goals were realised through fundamental improvements to
design, supplier development, process improvements and material and
component selection.
. Maintain Current Standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 3834
As lead auditor for the above standards I ensure that systems are
maintained to the optimum levels and that the reality meets the management
systems. This has been successfully achieved with no minor or major
nonconformities recorded since January 2010.
A key member in the ISO 3834 team I played a pivotal role in the
preparations for the assessment by The Welding Institute. Accreditation to
this standard was attained 2013.
. CE Marking - Maintaining product validation and compliance.
All trucks produced are subject to CE marking. Responsible for product
validations and compliance testing of various product platforms, a key role
is to ensure all products conform to the required EC directives and off-
road vehicle international design standards.
. Vendor Assessment
Responsible for carrying out new vendor assessments. Securing quality
assurance agreements to group standards throughout the UK and overseas.
. Group Company Continuous Improvement
Representing the Company, I take part in the international, cross company
new product development and continuous product/process improvement teams.
Key Achievements:
> In a recent assignment I am extremely proud of the success achieved in
the introduction of a new paint system, which meets the latest DEFRA
standards for reduced VOC emissions and also provides enhanced anti-
corrosion benefits.
> Leading a continuous improvement team, the 'Right First Time' project
has been a major success achieving a 75% reduction in the number of
early hour customer complaints received.
> Given responsibility for improvements to the goods inwards inspection
processes in order to focus on first off deliveries from known
problematic suppliers. Monitoring supplier quality performance, I
advised the purchasing department on supplier capabilities affecting
sourcing decisions.

. Chairing specific product platform quality meetings / generating
action plans.
. Support warranty department investigations to deliver product
solutions
. Audit Engineering Change process for accuracy.
. Review ALL new drawing office output to certify viability for
manufacture, material selection, geometric tolerance, relevant Company
standards and, as appropriate, special processes.
. Working with outside metallurgy laboratories to identify root cause of
material concerns, to determine improvement strategies with design,
service and suppliers.
