PROFILE

I’m currently working as a delivery driver for Iceland Ltd, I trained as a bus driver and have a vast

experience as a painter. I am able to adapt the many situations. I am a confident problem solver

and able to communicate clearly and credibly. I am loyal and trustworthy both in my role and to

my employers. I am happy to work alone on my own initiative or as part of a group. I am of a

I am currently home delivery driver for Iceland foods, I have worked as a laboratory manager at

Specsavers in Oxford, Optics being a career that I have returned to. I trained as a bus driver with

Oxford bus company and I have had 10 years experience in Painting and Decorating. I have also

Delivery Driver

Responsible for the accurate,timely and professional delivery of goods to customers. The deliveries are regularly

fully booked with in excess of 15 deliveries in a two hour time slot. I ensure that vehicle checks and maintenance

are performed daily on vehicles. Provide support to the store teams at busy periods with shop floor duties .

Laboratory Manager

I returned to optics in the role of laboratory technician and quickly I was promoted to laboratory manager, I was

responsible for the complete manufacture of spectacles. My objectives included quality checking, cost control,

ordering, deliveries and stock control. Always maintaining high levels of service. I was responsible for machine

maintenance and calibration. I effectively communicate with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Ensuring that all

customers spectacles are made to the best quality but to the time frame promised. The role is high pressured role

I worked as a bus driver for Oxford Bus Company after securing my PCV license with them, I worked on various

routes happy to drive any routes as required at short notice, My experience with customer facing roles allowed me

to maintain a high customer service level with customers enjoying friendly conversation with regular customers. I

was also responsible for cash handling and managing all aspects of my own cash reconciliation.

Painter and Decorator

Symm are a renowned company whom focus on the restoration and redecoration of heritage property. I was part of

a team of painters who were responsible for the decoration of these prestigious homes. Working for Symm allowed

me to use products and techniques not normally associated with day-to-day painting. However, I was able to use

my base experience throughout the role.

McGinley – The Churchill Hospital 18/02/07 – 13/08/07

Reception/general security

My responsibilities including holding site health and safety inductions, checking all site operatives for correct

details, communication with site managers and the NHS trust. I was responsible for the General well being of the

hospital site, helping with hours and wages I manned the CCTV throughout the day, as well as oversee site security.

I took on all deliveries and collections for the hospital and I ran the reception desk, being the first point of call to

all employees, workers and clients.

Laboratory Technician

I was employed by vision express as a lab technician. My role was the complete manufacture of spectacles. Ensure

that the vision received from the customer was as required by there prescription and the spectacle were made to the

highest quality. I was responsible for the ordering of lenses, repairing of spectacles, as well as stock control. The

laboratory at vision express was situated in the centre of the sales floor requiring the utmost professionalism and

customer service.

Hobbies and Interests

I enjoy attending the gym, walking and fishing. I own a motorbike and like to attend bike meets, where possible.

Finally, and most importantly spending time with my young daughter.
