5/12-present Rolling Mill Supervisor: Responsible for the daily production of the rolling mill and the supervision of 25 employees. Monitor the quality of the material produced by making quality checks every 15 to 30 minutes. Check the accuracy of the stands built in the build up area before they enter the mill for safety. Make sure the employees are following the standards and procedures set by the company. Ensure wood is burned on critical stands to ensure the quality of the product. Check pass parting, roll parting, water on the passes, security of the rest bars, gap entries and deliveries. Work daily with maintenance to prioritize the repairs of equipment during down times and unscheduled breakdowns. Direct crew meetings and safety meeting to keep hourly employees informed. I provided daily raw material analysis and daily finished goods analysis. Coordinated shipping with Logistics, Customer Service and Operations. Conduct daily analysis with of quality issues with QAD and operations. Entrusted with daily analysis with late orders, back order, and unallocated orders. Reviewed production reports for operations to find ways to make units more efficient and avoid down times. Developed KPI’s for departmental evaluations.
