Responsible for all aspects of safety, quality, and production in the printing, roll stock, and plate room departments.

Establish operational policies and implement process improvements to reduce the potential for accidents, ensure superior quality, and improve the throughput of the various printing presses producing liquid packaging cartons.

Directly manage three managers overseeing 50+ hourly employees in a union facility.

Design, seek out, and implement coaching and training programs to develop staff, facilitate efficiency, and to overall improve performance.

Work with peers and the plant manger, to develop yearly capital expense budgets and prioritize capital projects. Submit ROI when the capital expense is in one of the departments I oversee.

Ensure all employees are adhering to all quality and safety procedures.

Schedule work and length of preventive maintenance days for all presses and plate processing equipment.

Most Memorable Contributions:

* Reduced headcount in the plate room department by two, resulting in savings of excess of $100,000

* Helped to reduced waste in the offset department by 9.5%

* Brought the flexo department, that had been closed down, back into vital production. Production improvements in all areas have reduced the planned manning by one crew.

* Reduced costs in supplies over the years by more than $400,000.00.

* Continue to operate and make improvements while never wavering over a .025% in quality returns and allowances based on gross sales and a safety T.I.R. of less than 1.

* Changed culture from management vs. union to a cooperative workforce that is more self directed

* Developed production tracking spreadsheets for all production departments.

* Wrote a PM Manual for the operators in the offset department to further encourage the operators to take ownership of their press and use maintenance only when necessary.

* Documented all training material needed for the offset and flexo departments that includes the step by step procedure for every tasks as well as the safety aspects of that tasks (LOTO, etc.)

* Started Departmental Safety Meetings and Bi-weekly Preventive Maintenance Days
