Profile As a Phd, in the course of 5 years at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, allowed to continue the studies
in chemistry, specifically in the areas of physical-chemistry and organic chemistry, applying the
electrochemical techniques of cyclic voltammetry (CV) and controlled potential electrolysis to the
nucleophilic aromatic substitution reactions (SNAr). Furthermore, the use of the ionic liquids to this
electrochemical promoted reactions of organic chemistry, bringing the se reactions as close as possible to the
green chemistry.
Achievement: This work led to a new ‘greener’ route to the nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction for
the synthesis of nitroarenes derivatives, based on the advantage s of electrochemistry in room temperature
ionic liquids (RTILs). Improved synthesis techniques, separation and analysis, as the chromatographic
techniques (column chromatography and thin layer) and the use of the instruments of gas chromatography,
absorption spectroscopy UV / Vis. Analysis and interpretation of the results obtained by CV and the NMR
1H and 31P as well as GC/MS. The results led to the publication of 4 papers
