Skills, Abilities & Experience
Formerly I worked in the accounts payable department of my company. I am responsible for invoicing customers, maintaining data spread
sheets to include daily revenue charts, data entry of production, downtime and receiving of packing slips. I assisted our accounts manager by
matching packing slips to invoices in order to bill company vendors. I have also served in the Materials, Planning and Shipping aspect of the
company for a multi-million dollar annual sales customer.
I worked for the school system of Yadkin Co and Montgomery County. My job included assisting the lead teacher with any lesson prep
work, accessibility to students for any assistance needed, small group pull out for closer one on one reading help. I worked in an Exceptional
Children’s class for 3 years and then in the office as a Receptionist/Secretary which entailed answering the telephone, making morning
announcements over the PA, typing, filing, organizing and any other duty requested of me.
I have worked in the medicine since graduating in 1989 from CPCC. I have had the unique opportunity to work in various specialty clinics
such as Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family practice, Urology, Minor surgery, Infectious Disease and Orthopedics for casting and removal. Over
the years my job responsibilities in both the clerical and clinical aspects of the office which include entering patient demographics, patient charges,
scheduling patient appointments, answering multiple telephone lines, filing, entering insurance payments, patient insurance precertification for
procedures, collecting patient co-pays and collection calls, daily deposits, assisting the physician with procedures, calling prescriptions to the
pharmacy and charting, blood draw and specimen collection, patient vitals, administering medications and office IV’s. From 1999 to 2001 I helped
open an Internal Medicine practice with a former Employer who decided to open her own business. I was responsible for the clerical aspect of the
business, staff management and would assist in the clinical area when needed.
Communication
I am a driven individual who has excellent communication skills with co-workers and customer service. I feel I have a warm, outgoing
personality and I care about the success of a my employer therefore I have always strived to be a team player who’s a good listener and willing to
assist in any task needed. I believe in doing the very best of your ability to serve in customer service and to always do the right thing even when
you don’t think anyone is watching.
Leadership
I received the Montgomery County “Making a Difference Award” February 2010 and Communities In Schools Mentor of the Month in
March 2010. I have served as PTA Treasurer at West Yadkin Elementary K-8 School 2005-2006, Co-President 2006-2007, Director of Concessions
for West Yadkin Sports Club 2007-2008 and Treasury Assistant 2007-2008.
