Director, Group Financial Planning and Analysis (Apr’2008-current), Reston, VA
Led group budgeting and forecasting, prepared tender and capital investment reviews and recommendations,
developed numerous models and financial analysis as well as managed number of projects across the globe. Report to
gategroup EVP/Deputy CFO and have 3 direct reports.
o Interim Finance Director for portfolio country in 2012. Led re-organization of local finance department and
co-led a turnaround effort which was recognized as most effective turnaround of the year.
o Developed a robust financial model for a key customer’s service offering revamp. Played a pivotal part in
commercial negotiations up to and including the final contract and implementation of new billing process
with full transparency of all related costs to the customer.
o Managed 2011 Interim Forecast and 2009 Budget for gategroup from issuing initial set of instructions up to a
final BoD presentation.
o gategroup IT controller since Apr’2008 till Dec’2010. Provided quarterly reviews of IT costs to CIO and CFO.
Completed IT Budgets/Forecasts for corporate offices and reviewed all IT Budgets/Forecasts for other entities
in the group. Successfully presented, together with CIO, group IT Budgets and Forecasts to Executive
Management. Enhanced internal control of IT costs and implemented usage-based IT cost recharges across
the group.
o Successfully managed implementation of SAP FICO at the country and COPA worldwide within tight deadlines
and budget. Subject matter expert in the PEF-CO blueprint review.
o Led Business Warehouse (“BW”) Steering Committee. Initialized and managed automation of many BW
functions which streamlined and improved effectiveness of back-office throughout the group. Introduced
new A/R reporting in BW which automated submission process, improved reliability of the data and provided
DSO by customer.
o Reviewed and recommended capital investments and new business proposals ensuring correct procedures
were followed and business cases were complete and validated leading to an efficient executive review of

o Spearheaded standardization of definitions and formulas for Financial KPIs (ROIC, Economic Profit,

o Coordinated and prepared annual and three-year financial forecast and business analysis.

o Took the lead in financial due diligence and preparation of a Working Capital Report for listing the company

Led financial management, planning and analysis of all business operations. Managed IT infrastructure and
development of the ASBIS group. Reported directly to CFO and CEO. Served as a member of the Management Board of
the company. Managed a staff of 9 direct reports.
o Created “Economic Profit Projection” model and introduced new set of KPIs with emphasis on ROCA and EVA.
Implemented this model throughout ASBIS as a basis for budgeting and a business management tool.
o Developed and implemented costing model which provided actual cost and gross profit by sales transaction .
Resulted in better decision making at all levels due to real time nature and ease of access.
o Managed implementation of the new ERP system. More than 20 offices were successfully moved to the new
system within an 18 month target which resulted in over 30% increase in operational efficiency.
o Designed and implemented new model that provided profitability and performance information by product
line and market segment. Model directly supported senior management in developing corporate strategies
and led to decrease of old inventory level and capital usage by more than 10%.
o Built consolidated forecasting model which was utilized to build three-year projections including sensitivity
analysis. Designed, developed, and implemented model to forecast volume, product mix, and margins by
subsidiary and consolidated. Used by the management at all levels as the basis for the budget preparation.
