I am a qualified Medical engineer with four years of diverse experience

in field service engineering and support. My expertise is in dental

equipment and medical lasers (dermatological, surgical and dental).

I have diverse electrical and mechanical skills, experience in pneumatics

and hydraulics, excellent technical knowledge of medical lasers and optical

assemblies, dental x-ray systems, autoclaves, suctions, dental air-

compressors, dental ultrasonic generators, the ability to read electronic

CAD/schematics and experience working PCB level.

Previously, I was a senior medical field service engineer at SADENT S.A

Athens, Greece. I was responsible for technical services including

equipment installation, repair, technical support and scheduled

maintenance. I realistically estimated and priced services, made decisions

on site, acted on my own initiative and operated in a proactive way to

complete the required service to the client's expectations. I developed new

methods and tools in medical lasers helping the company to offer better and

quicker services. As result of that initiative the company's management

team offered me the opportunity to further my development by training on

the new DEKA ME.L.A laser equipment in Florence, Italy. After a week of

hands-on training in Italy, SADENT assigned me the complete support of the

DEKA product range. Geographically I covered all of Greece dealing with

public hospitals, dental and dermatological offices/clinics (public and

private).

My thesis was based on a dissertation research, I developed a MATLAB

program (code level) able to process electroencephalograph's (EEG) taken

from patients with schizophrenia. My goal was to find out if dance therapy

can help a patient who suffers from schizophrenia during a pre-defined

examination period. The program consisted of 45 minutes dance therapy

sessions, one time a week for 11 weeks. An EEG was taken from each patient

before and after a specific session (5th and the 11th session) and

evaluated. With existing algorithms/functions I developed a code which

estimates the mutual information between the signals that were taken from

six electrodes placed on patient's head.

Initially I joined the SADENT S.A Company for my six months

industrial placement, after completing my placement I was

offered a permanent position within the company as a

medical field service engineer. My skills and professional

development were recognised by SADENT's management which

promoted me to senior medical field service engineer role.

SADENT S.A is one of the leaders in the Greek market with

over five thousand clients. The company's portfolio

involves dental equipment, dermatological lasers and

surgical lasers.

During my appointment I was trained by the Service Manager in

repairing ADEC and BELMONT dental units, CATTANI suctions,

dental compressors (KAESER, FIAC and FINI), medical

autoclaves (MOCOM, EURONDA, PRESTIGE MEDICAL, TAU),

ultrasonic generators (NSK, SATELLEC etc.), MANFREDI

equipment (casting machines, furnaces and lasers), dental X-

ray systems (BELMONT, Blue-X, FONA) and other dental

peripheral equipment. I was assigned a company car covering

geographically the whole of Greece meeting clients and

performing scheduled and on-call maintenance. Due to my

abilities and hard work I was offered the position of head

engineer in medical lasers. I was trained in Florence,

Italy by the DEKA headquarters team and was responsible for

all DEKA medical laser installations, services and

scheduled maintenance in Greece. Furthermore I was trained

to be an expert in repairing lasers with Alexandrite, ND-

YAG, Q-Switched, Er-YAG and CO2 sources. I was responsible

for all the company laser equipment in aesthetics such as:

Synchro Play, Synchro Replay, Synchro HP, Synchro FT,

Smartxide DOT, Smartxide 2, Triactive, Triactive+, DOT

1540, SmartLipo, Excilite and in dentistry: Smartfile,

Smart 2940D, Smartlite.

In a daily bases I would visit at least four sites for

service/maintenance on dental equipment, medical lasers or

laboratory equipment such as autoclaves or I would be

involved with one dental equipment

installation/refurbishment. After completing the

service/maintenance, I would produce a service report so

that the doctor and our company would have an archive of my

work for future reference. I had an excellent track record

on solving problems on first visit, providing solutions to

the end user.

P r o j e c t s Production of SADENT DIADEMA IV dental units

Greece

SADENT S.A supplied more than 100 public dental hospitals

with the Greek dental units SADENT DIADEMA IV. I was at the

production of the units and I was also involved at the on-

site installations throughout Greece. This project took

place from February 2010 to November 2010.

DEKA updating firmware

Greece

SADENT S.A equipment/unit firmware upgrade throughout Greece (within

company maintenance contract). The procedure included

aesthetic and surgical lasers. The upgrade process required

connecting the system with a local LAN, USB interface or

replace older DIM boards.

Custom replacement of part for MOCOM Basic, Basic Plus, EXACTA

autoclaves Greece

An autoclave had been sent to SADENT S.A for service.

Suddenly the autoclave door exploded due to high pressure.

After consulting MOCOM a customized relay switch door base

was required to fix the problem, we designed and built this

part. After discussion and required quality checks from

MOCOM we installed the part and repaired the autoclave.

After this incident SADENT S.A replaced all relay switch

door bases related with the same MOCOM autoclaves.
