Sponsorships: Having been with marketing in Infosys, I was responsible to decide if & why the organization should

sponsor a conference & ensure maximum visibility of the organization at the event, targeting best level of lead

generation from the same.

In Global Strategy Exchange, I was responsible for getting new sponsors for conferences showcasing the ways they

would achieve maximum visibility of their organization at the event.

Besides these, while at Infosys, I have also been responsible for ensuring & obtaining maximum mileage for the

marketing investment made on the conference leads, PR and AR coverages, branding as well as enough incidental &

print coverage.

On the PR and AR fronts, while at Infosys, I was also responsible to figure the PR & AR houses covering the event

and what kind of coverage by them would give us what level of mileage & ensuring, we get the best out of them.

While at GSE, I was responsoble for Analyst interactions, not just while building the conference on a particular topic

for an industry but also get them to be involved in the conference in multiple ways, including, speaking, panel hosting

and sponsor interactions, as the case may be. At Infosys, my responsibilty also responsible in getting interview

coverages for leadership from Infosys or Infosys clientele with the Analysts or PR firms, to be best portrayed in event

coverages in later news or analyst publications.

Media coverages have been a key part of all of the conferences in both pre & post conference phases, targeting next

season conference mileage out of the turn out from the same. In public events, in earlier phases of my career, it

involved mostly, getting the best ad & promo designed & handled prior to the event to get not just a great registrations

& attendence of the event, but also, ensure the same led to word of mouth promotion, post the event for future events.

Later, in Infosys or at GSE, it involved, pre conference promotions via different media; viz: print, online, etc, to

ensure maximum visibility of Infosys sponsorship of the event and in the later phases in GSE, to ensure maximum

visibility of the event, ultimately trying to achieve maximum possible attendence at the event.

Online marketing in all the above roles involved working with the SEO experts to achieve the best visibility on the

internet to the right prospects. It also involed working with the creatives, exchanging ideas to create the best banners

& advert inserts for different paid or unpaid site promotions. It also invoved working with the SEO experts to rank the

website higher in searches & tracking the website visits & information downloads for best suitable personalized

follow ups (as required), based on the kind of information downloaded or the kind of pages visited by online visit

analysis.

Lead generation was defintely the final key in the whole above mentioned work areas, besides the generic targeted list

building for lead generation. I was responsible to build target market lists of prospect clients with the RPC names &

contact information & trying to build up non pushy relationships with them via phone, email, etc, to check for

opportunities of procuring business out of them/ their organizaions in the short or long run. Besides, I was also

responsible to follow up on all leads generated from the events/ conferences, and try to create reference lists also, for

future business or attendences at further events. I was handling the leads generated from conferences & events as

warm future prospects. Besides all of this, based on the website visit analysis, I was responsible to verify if the visitor

was a prospect & follow up for future business, if so deemed.

So, in a word, marketing & event management, in any form, is a skill, I have achieved over my long term association
