Retail Merchandiser in Honolulu with around 10 stores. We worked with Energizer batteries, sunglasses and other items in multiple stores. I would put out orders, do recovery, put damages, setup displays and work with managers and store employees.
Maurice Sporting Goods
Jane Au
$11.00 / hour
February of 2010, I was hired with Maurice Sporting goods, a distributor to Wal-Marts, Kmart and other sporting goods specialty stores. I had a number of stores in southern California and on Oahu with visits on a rotating basis to do service, resets, promotions and recovery and also talk with the store manager about new products and sales ideas. It averaged about 7-10 hours a week at $11/hour. All reports and timekeeping were entered online and they paid for mileage since I had a large territory.

The jobs are extremely varied and can be anything from basic merchandising to special display setup, endcap reset, inventories, audits, specialty returns, etc. I have worked in grocery stores, pharmacies, movie theaters, office supply stores, mall chain stores, etc. The pay varies per job, but Convergence has my pay pegged at $12 for non-project work.
Campus West
Elise Jensen
$12.00 / hour
Service major name brands at Fry's Electronics stores nationwide. The job with CW was pretty physical and requires a lot of paperwork, email correspondence, decision-making, display setup and resets, interaction with store employees, time management and documentation. I submit my summaries daily via scanner/email and get very good feedback on the quality of my work. They pay me $12 an hour and I worked 8 am-noon two or three mornings a week.
