Duties: Provide leadership to/management of 139 bed long term care

facility.

Accomplishments: Developed/implemented/monitored budgets for all facility

departments; educated department heads to monitor/manage

department budgets

Decreased payroll budget from average of >$600,000 per pay

period to an average of <$500,000 per pay period, by

decreasing overtime

Assisted the Director of Rehab in establishing criteria which

increased the average length of Medicare A resident stay

from 38 days to 54 days

Worked with the Marketing/Admissions team to develop and

implement successful marketing campaigns designed to increase

community involvement in the facility and to build census

Developed strategies which encouraged effective communication

increased the average length of Medicare A resident stay

from 26 days to 39 days

to develop marketing programs designed specifically to engage

Prior to becoming a licensed nursing home administrator, I had a career as a

speech therapist, with more than 10 years of that time being in management.

My responsibilities as a clinical manager were much the same as those of a

nursing home administrator.
