Monitoring Onsite Servers for UNIX and S.A.P.
Unix monitoring includes monitoring of daily server backup which is auto
scheduled by pre-setting of dates, monitoring the batch processes
scheduled to run on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Enabling users
after all the backup and batch processing is completed.
SAP Monitoring includes monitoring of daily financial billing processes
and related backups for NEC Display solutions and ensuring that it
completes on time on a daily routine.
Working in sync with the SAP Basis team offshore in Zensar and onsite
with both NECAM and NDS to assist users escalate technical and functional
issues with respective teams, monitoring and maintaining accounts of SAP
users on a daily basis, basic troubleshooting with SAP GUI issues.
Assistance with V.P.N issues for users, Microsoft Outlook, Remedy ticket
management, and also working in sync with the HR teams at all NEC sites
for assistance with new user Setups or Terminations of existing employees
from NEC.
Routine Desktop and Networking issues are also handled. Issues which
include hardware and software issues, assistance with data encryption on
the laptops for NEC by means of security software like Pointsec.
Report generation for Remedy, SAP and Unix was a routine task where some
reports had to be mailed onsite or uploaded on internal SharePoint sites
for sharing and archiving.
