Title: Safety Specialist
I was hired by Robin's Envirovac as a Safety Specialist to implement a
safety program. Primary duties were to develop and create forms and set up
a database to track all information generated by 38 employees, which
encompassed 10 vacuum tracks, 2 water trucks, 9 truck mounted pressure
washer units and 6 pick-up's used by supervision and safety.
Soon after my hire, it was necessary to adhere to the CHESM standards
outlined by Chevron USA SJVBU. This required that I create an SSE program,
Journey Management program, Vehicle tracking program, and a Drivers
Competency program. I also designed all forms and tracking databases. It
was necessary to include a Safety Audit system utilizing forms and a
database to comply with SJVBU criteria. I developed many Power Point
presentations for our initial CHESM performance reviews. I also assist in
SJVBU Monday safety meetings and monthly Water Truck safety meetings. I
have been responsible for creating, conducting and tracking the Drivers
Training and Competency Reviews for the 38 employees. Also created was the
Critical Operating Procedures for five tasks as well as Operating
Procedures for the remaining eight daily tasks. I am responsible for the
Tuesday Safety meeting at our Cymric location as well as the Thursday
meeting at Kern River.
I track on a daily basis: Journey Management, Vehicle inspection reports,
and Vehicle mileage. I am responsible for 20 safety audits per month as
well as the guidance and tracking of the safety audits performed by our two
foremen, this information is tracked by me on a weekly basis. I have
interacted with Chevron management at Chevron 9525 as well as our immediate
management at Chevron Kern River.
