Selected Accomplishments
COMPLETED FAST TRACK PROJECT ON TIME. TRW CLIENT HAD DEMO AND SECURE
REBUILD PROJECT DUE WITHIN 90 DAYS. ASSEMBLED TEAM COMMITTED TO MEETING
COMPLETION DATE. RESOLVED LANDLORD, SUBLEASE, PERMIT AND MATERIAL ISSUES,
AND HIRED INDEPENDENT INSPECTOR TO SATISFY CITY REQUIREMENTS. COMPLETED
PROJECT ON TIME, EARNING PRAISE FROM CLIENT.
Reduced costs. Took over 150K sq ft, $24M new building project, with bid
$2M over budget. Value engineered the construction drawings, reducing scope
and consolidating/centralizing HVAC and noise control systems. Realized $1M
in cost savings for TRW, enabling purchase of new furniture instead of
using surplus.
Met aggressive schedule. Tasked with rehabilitating remote project when TRW
client was not pleased with local Project Manager. Traveled to weekly
construction meeting, walked site with GC and kept running punch list,
reducing number of change orders. Completed project on time and budget.
Negotiated essential agreements. Tasked with assisting site Facility
Manager with classified Northrop client project, where overruns were due to
abatement issues with soil and structure. Worked with landlord to complete
necessary abatement per lease agreement/work letter, and presented
alternate construction methods for customer. Saved $1M on abatement,
structure issues and alternate construction methods.
Supported key client. Program Manager for TRW client NASA asked for a site
survey on recently completed building project. Survey confirmed many of the
problems identified by the NASA team plus an additional 50 line items
considered to be major. Called GC back to correct items found, earning
great praise from Program Manager.
