Professional profile
'A professionally registered engineering technician with an extensive
background, experience and credential array'. Complementing my membership
with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, I have developed 12 years of
robust experience in planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, extensive
electronics and rectification of highly technical systems. In recognition
of capability and influencing others, I have also developed my career to
encompass people management both in-house and remotely, whereby
qualifications in leadership management have been undertaken to certify
credibility and to encourage personal development. I am a professional,
capable and extremely motivated individual who has the ability to lead and
perform in challenging environments and would make a great addition to any
oil and gas organisation.

Engineering experience
Outline:
My mechanical engineering career to date has revolved around my tenure
within the British Army, REME Corp (Royal Electrical and Mechanical
Engineers). In this time I have acquired a considerable number of skills
and qualifications across a range of disciplines and defence equipment.
Furthermore, I have developed a keen and capable sense for the control of
publications, documentation and organisation of technical libraries.
Key Responsibilities and Competencies:
. Maintaining unmanned aerial vehicles, mechanical/electrical and
associated ground control stations, including frequency and software
. Maintaining Apache attack helicopters, Lynx and Gazelle helicopters
. Servicing, scheduled/unscheduled, corrective maintenance and fault
rectification
. Experience in maintaining, testing, replacing and bleeding of high-
pressure air systems, oil systems, fuel and hydraulic systems
. Hydraulic union fittings, pipelines, functional testing, measuring,
replenishment with hydraulic rigs and other special to type tools
. Gas turbine engines from replacing, boroscope/endoscope inspections to
compressor and turbine blade rectification and repairs
. Rotor blades, gearbox transmission, drive shafts and other rotating
equipment, including tracking and balancing
. Structural integrity testing, inspection and manufacturing repairs, with
metals, alloys and composites.
. Replacement of filters, valves, pumps and various other line replaceable
units
. Accurate written documentation of work carried out using logbooks and
GOLD based IT system
. Use of calibrated precision tools, test and diagnostic equipment
. Discovered, suggested and implemented various cost effective methods to
solve issues and improve design of components and aircraft
. Interpreting maintenance manuals and engineering drawings/schematics
ensuring work carried out to specific legislation and tolerances
. Liaised with outside agencies, manufacturers and spares supply agencies
Management experience
Outline:
I have naturally progressed into management, whereby after 6 years in this
capacity I have become responsible for leading teams remotely, in
challenging environments and in critical situations. Justified through
feedback and self-awareness I have developed into an effective leader both
in a technical and people management capacity. While management has played
a major role in my career, I also work as effectively autonomously and find
it as rewarding.
Key Responsibilities and Competencies:
. Team leader responsible for maintenance bay and implementing best
practices and ensuring a high standard of work
. Wrote various engineering standing orders for processes
. Worked and supervised up to 15 technicians at any one time at various
locations around the world
. Proven to work well under pressure with close-knit teams in extreme
conditions and environments around the world self supervised
. Training junior technicians and providing written reports and verbal
feedback on their progress and technical knowledge
. Training and mentoring UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) operators for
competency and providing continual guidance and maintenance on the
equipment while on operations
. Understanding objectives and delegation of tasks to meet desired targets
. Collaboration with coalition forces of all ranks and levels of
leadership, to create good working relationships
