Project: "INFLUENCE OF COOLING TECHNIQUE ON TOOL WEAR IN TURNING OF
TITANIUM ALLOY Ti-6Al-4V"
Duration: One Year

Description: This project work deals with the optimization process
parameters for tool wear in turning of titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) under
different lubrication conditions such as dry, flooded and Minimum Quantity
Lubrication (MQL) conditions using Taguchi's robust design methodology. The
results have been compared among dry, flooded and MQL conditions and it
reveals that MQL shows improvement in reduction of tool wear compared to
dry and flooded lubricant conditions.
B.TECH Project Details #
Project: "DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF TURBINE ROTOR".
Duration: Three months.

Description: The main objective of this project is to design
turbine rotor using CATIA software and analysis is done using ANSYS. The
aerodynamic design of a turbo machine is a complex process, it proceeds
through a number of stages from the initial statement of the requirement.
As turbine rotates at high speed and temperatures, for mechanical
considerations, structural, thermal, and modal (vibration) analysis were
carried out to satisfy designing requirements.

Geometry:
. Importing and Exporting the CAD Data into the Hyper mesh.

. Basics of shell mesh, Loading the user profile, Types of Shell
elements (Tria and Quad), order of the shell elements.
. Quality parameters, Normals, free edges, connectivity, duplicates and
thickness assignment.
. Types of mesh for Plastic components, sheet metal and BIW components.
. Standard specification for the shell mesh.

Project: FE Modeling of Bumper
Tool Used: HYPERMESH
Description: The main objective of the project was to create shell meshing
has been represented on mid surface. Ribs were captured and variable
thickness has been assigned to respective thickness collector as per client
requirements. Materials and Properties were assigned and finally quality
check parameters were maintained.
Project: FE Modeling of front and rare door
Tool Used: HYPERMESH
Description: The task was to deliver FE model for analysis. After geometry
cleanup, shell meshing has been done on extracted mid surface .Quality
Check Parameters were maintained as per client requirements.
