Duties include but not limited to the following:

* In charge of assuring that hospital operations are carried out in the proper manner while functioning within legal boundaries, medical by-laws, specific hospital guidelines and while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

* Act as liaison between patients, parents, physicians, and nurses to maintain open current communication to decrease stress, frustration, and concerns of parents, patients, and caregivers.

* Administer pre-operative sedatives, pain medications, antibiotics, and other medications that are ordered to be given pre-operatively by PO, G-Tube, IM, Rectal, Nasal, Sub-Q, Topical, and/or IV route. After administering medication, was responsible for re-evaluating/monitoring patient closely thereafter to address and report any positive, negative, or no reactions to appropriate caregiver.
