Technologies: Tableau, Weka, MS- Excel, MS-Access, MS-SQL Server, Survey
Monkey,Macros,VB.net,C#.net,ASP.net
Project Description: The STARS is NSF project in College of Computing and
Informatics. We collect data from different Universities through Surveys,
Excel sheets, Google forms. Then the processing of the data is done
depending on the tool which matches the requirement and save the data in
the database or sheets. Then we create annual reports, charts and
visualizations to present them in front of the clients. We also work on
developing web Applications for the research team in the lab for different
purposes using JSP, Servlet in common application for the department.
Responsibilities:
. Gathering business requirements from research associates.
. Collecting data from faculty members and students from various
universities.
. Preprocessing the data of surveys, google forms and then loading
data into database.
. Generation of reports and validation of results.
Role: Developer
Project: Stock investment app, Xcel auction system
Technologies: Java/J2EE, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Tableau, MySQL, Oracle 11g,
ODBC, AJAX, Tomcat, HTML, XML, PL/SQL
Responsibilities
. Gather user requirements and analyze them.
. Create package, class and sequence diagram to implement MVC
architecture and iterative incremental model .
. Writing Java /J2EE code to implement the use cases.
. Written procedures and sql queries in Oracle database for the logic.
. Visualization of the results generated using tableau and also coded in
D3.
Bank of New York Mellon, Pune, India (Jan 2011-Oct 2012)
Role: Software Analyst (Technical, Business analyst, Eagle Practices and
Asset Management)
Project: MCM - Advanced Reports and OLAP Reports and Building Data-Mart
Technologies: PL/SQL, MS Access, VB.net, C#.net, VB Script, Eagle pace and
General Reporting, Pages, Fact set, Asp.net, Uploaders and Exporters, ODBC,
MS-SQL, SSRS/SSIS
Project Description: The MCM (Mellon capital Management) is the asset
management subsidiary of Bank of New York Mellon. In the team we built
reports for the clients and internal teams to analyze the data and make
investment decisions based on reports. I have worked on different kind of
reports including performance, position, trade, accounting and all other
different types of advanced reports, API reports, testing and scheduling
them in Eagle Pace. Did Performance tuning of the reports and got applauds
from client and onshore. Worked on building reports in Pages for different
kind of business team using data from SQL server. Assisted in extraction of
data using Pentaho from Eagle pace database. Built complete new database
called as Data-Mart in MS SQL Server to build new user interfaces using
C#.Net for viewing the report results of various types. Have worked on
building many small applications for the clients according to their
expectation and did many customization and bug fixing to reports and
applications. Along with all this procedure and functions development for
Uploaders and exporter, issue fixing and enhancements are taken care.
Responsibilities:
. Gathering business requirement from the onshore, preparing
technical specifications.
. Training new joiners in the team and allotting the work to the
team.
. Creating underlying OLAP reports and Advanced reports using
Vb.net designer.
. Formatting of the report in excel using VBS scripts.
. Developing Uploaders and Exporters.
. Development of reports in Eagle general reporting and Pages.
. Scheduling the report in the Eagle Pace and testing the results
and analyzing the data and results.
. Creation of solution enablers, Migration documents and many other
documents for team usage.
. Sending a status report to manager on weekly basis about the tasks
assigned to the team.
. Develop Interfaces and automation tools for Eagle product.
. Upgrade Eagle product version.
. Exported data from Eagle pace data base to the MS-SQL SERVER 2008 using
Pentaho.
Cognizant Technology Solutions, Pune, India (March 2010 - Dec 2010)
Role: Developer (Programmer Analyst - Technical, Eagle Products, Banking
and Financial Services)
Project: Message Centers to Uploaders
Technologies: SQL Server 2005, Eagle PACE, Eagle Message Center, SRM
Project Description: The Uploader Exporter Implementation project for the
client Artio Global Investors involves the implementation of an integrated
system made up of Upstream and Downstream system. It involves the
development and implementation of Eagle modules like Uploaders and
Exporters instead of message centre. Once Implemented, this package of
Upstream and Downstream system would provide the facility to process and
upload different vendor's data and in turn to publish to numerous
downstream systems. Using Eagle Uploader, the client would be processing
and then storing the vendor provided data to their PACE (Eagle's product)
database. This information stored in the Eagle PACE can be published to
end users as well. The phases involved in this critical project were namely
requirement gathering, Functional specification creation, Design Document
creation, Coding and Unit Testing and sometimes bug fixing and production
issue solving.
Responsibilities:
. Development of stored procedures, functions and views.
. Development of Uploaders and Exporters.
. Hands on experience in Eagle and database health check.
. Worked on change management and enhancements.
. Interaction with the client on weekly and daily basis.
Societe Generale Global Solution Center (SGGSC), Bangalore, India (Jul 2009
to Feb 2010)
Role: Developer (Asset management, Capital markets, Java and Eagle
components)
Project: Migration of SDD to SDS
Technologies: Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Eagle PACE, Eagle Uploaders, Java
Project Description:
SDS provides client application with a single point of contact for static
and market data access. SDS enables access to static data through a java
API. The interface provides end to end architecture for
referential source of market data and client business logic. We have used
Up loader to load the data into Pace from different data sources. The data
is then exported to SDS using exporter logic.
Responsibilities:
. Development of schema for Uploaders/Exporters .
. Written the Perl script for preprocessing of the incoming data.
. Written the Uploader procedure to convert the incoming messages in
to the table format and inserting into Pace Schemas .
. Extensive testing for the developed Eagle components.
Sankalp Semiconductors Hubli, India (July 2008 to June 2009)
Role: Developer(Wireless communication)
Project: Minimizing ISI using turbo equalization
Technologies: MATLAB modeling, VHDL, Simulink 2008, MATLAB coding
Project Description:
Turbo equalization is used to minimize noise of the AWGN
channels. It deals with designing a software module to minimize ISI using
communication block sets. Advantages of using turbo codes are to yield the
performance close to capacity. Using estimators we can achieve a lower bit
error rate thus reducing the inter symbol interference of the signal in the
transmission lines.
Responsibilities:
. Creation of MATLAB modules for the complete communication blocks.
. Coding the module according to desired frequency and propagation
rate.
. Minimizing the error by proper adjustments of turbo codes.
