Project Description: This is a Yelp like application. Over one million
consumers a day rely on Local.com to connect them with local businesses,
activities and events. Now you can search locally with this fun, simple and

. Extensive use of list views to display various data.
. List view implementation was made with special emphasis on performance
and smoothness (when scrolling).

Responsibilities:
. Designed as an Android application to give away the stuff that someone
would put on a traditional garage sale.
. Parse.com was used as a backend to save item data such as messages,
location, images and the description.
. Developed a really robust messaging framework, for users to be able to
converse from within the app about an item, without revealing their
phone number or email address.
. This app was integrated with Facebook using Facebook SDK to make app
more appealing to the growing social media users.
. The application gives an option to post the listed item to the user's
Facebook wall so that it becomes visible to all friends.
. The app has the feature for the users looking for free items to ask
questions and send the message to the owner of the item, and finally
claim the item.
. UI has been designed and developed such that you have separate tabs
for your own items, your claims, items with questions asked etc. This
gives very clean and organized look to the App.
. The App defaults to the current location, so it is very convenient for
the users to find items around their neighborhood.

. Designed application screen layout based on wireframes from in-house
