Plant General Manager
Selected by the Divisional VP Supply Chain to restructure the personnel,
equipment and site capability of an aged facility. Tasked with driving the
new Ecolab Production System, a Lean Manufacturing based platform, in order
to assure long term sustainability by eliminating costly waste and systems
inefficiencies.
Responsibilities:
. Responsible for driving safety, customer satisfaction, quality, cost,

Brought on board to replace aging COO and to increase profits via addition
of new product lines, reduction of waste and restructuring of corporate
culture. Developed and implemented manufacturing and technical operations
strategies; and managed operational P&L, and key performance metrics.
Oversaw manufacturing, packaging/distribution, R&D, quality, engineering,
and facility management operations in North America.
Accomplishments:
. Faced with a lengthy and disorganized R&D development process resulting
in "missed" opportunities, directed team to implement Six Sigma
methodology of "Design of Experiment" (DOE) to restructure R&D
experimental practices. Efforts reduced development cycle time by an
average of 60%.
. Initiated program to analyze gross margin and successfully optimize
operating income, resulting in challenging R&D to reformulate products,

. Selected and tasked by COO to identify and reduce costs to counteract
stress induced by downward spiraling profit margins. After 12 months of
intense planning, deployment, and monitoring, successfully reduced

. Voice of the customer (VOC) is a critical component of both continued
