Mechanical Engineer, Project Management Professional PMP®. I have more than 8 years of
experience in Planning and Scheduling, Mining and Construction Project Planning and Control
through indicators, Earned Value Management, Earned Schedule, S-curves, forecast, trend,
Lean Construction Philosophy, Last Planner (Lookahead, Weekly Plan), and use of PMI
standards (Pmbok 5th Ed, Standard for Project Risk Management, Standard for Scheduling).
Having knowledge of Strategic Planning, Balanced Scorecard BSC, ISO 9001:2008.
Analysis and resources estimation: man-hours, machine-hours, materials.
Project Monitoring and Control (progress, costs, times, scope, risks, and resources).
Costs Management (Analysis of direct and indirect Unit Cost, Budgeting Control, and forecast).
Schedule Management: Development and Control of Schedule (Key milestones identification,
Assess Critical Path & near Critical Path activities, float management; Modeling Techniques
(What If Scenario Analysis, Simulation with Monte Carlo), Resource Optimization (resources
leveling (man-hours, machine-hours), resource smoothing), Fast Tracking, Crashing, Trend,
Forecast, Lookahead).
Schedule Change Management, Maintain schedule during execution phase.
Provide recommendations to project team on strategies to recover from delays.
Bridge between planning, risk management, estimating, cost control.
Production of detailed and high level reports about, progress, status and forecast of project.
MORE SKILLS
Knowledge in Project Management: I implemented the Project Planning office: Identified,
evaluated, analyzed, developed and implemented flowcharts, procedures and templates all
needed for Project Planning and Control, based on Management Plan, Schedule and Budget.
Analytic capacity: I developed a research project regarding the increase of performance in 23% of
effective horse power of an Otto Cycle Engine (TOYOTA 20R engine atmospheric with
carburetor) through calculations and the overfeeding technique by turbo compressor in altitude
conditions (3260 meters above sea level).
Knowledge of manufacturing and erection of electro mechanics: I prepared basic and detailed
engineering drawings and supported the manufacturing and erection of tanks, industrial vessels,
piping systems, erection of electrical engines, electrical installations using medium and low
voltage; based on related standards as AISC, ASME, API 650, API 1104, ASME B31.1, ASME
B31.3, ASME B31.8, AWS D1.1, API, ASTM.
Knowledge of Costs and Budgets: I performed direct and indirect unit costs analysis, forecast,
Trend, Cost Control, budgets and valuation of supply and erection of electrical projects in the
construction of industrial vessels, erection of equipment in primary Crusher, secondary crusher,
concentrated pad, maintenance workshop, compressor house, and of metallic structure for
Process Plant.
Leadership: I was a Project Engineer, in charge of mechanical projects, having workers under my
leadership, transmitting criteria for manufacturing and erection; I performed work efficiently with 0
accidents and reached specified goals, directing the personnel according to our vision and
mission.
Software: Project Management Primavera P6 advanced, Ms Project advanced, Excel
Advanced, Macros, S10, AutoCAD, and Office.
