(2006-2009)
Selected to develop an educational program focusing on irregular warfare, a
task never before assigned to the Marine Corps. Led cadre of 40 Marines
and officers and coordinated contractor and academia support to produce the
first crop of Marine special operations advisors.
. Recipient of the MARSOC Commander's Award for Excellence 2007.
. Produced 18 teams and over 200 Special Operations Marines, certified for
deployment in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command prosecution
of the global war on terror.
. Developed key irregular warfare programs for inclusion in MARSOC's

. Directed the school's $4 million annual budget, controlling costs and
saving MARSOC and estimated $10 million in external vendor procurements
over a 3 year period.

. Led a motorized task force of over 200 Marines in the Uruzgan Province of
Afghanistan, traveling over 4000 miles in four months, conducting
counterinsurgency operations under extreme arduous conditions and
achieving all assigned goals.
. Managed $14 million account of 30 vehicles and 50 heavy weapon systems
with near 100% readiness.
. Led Battalion's future operations and fires planning for Afghanistan,
contributing to the speed, efficiency and lethality of the Battalion's
operational transition and combat success.
Assistant Operations Officer, 6TH Marine Regiment
(2002-2003)
Managed the Operation's section, conducted planning for regimental
operations and exercises and supervised completion of subordinate battalion
training requirements in preparation for combat.
. Led Regiment's operational planning team. Directed the planning with
Regimental Staff and subordinate command planners, producing thorough and
timely plans and orders.
. Senior Watch Officer for Regiment's Combat Operations Center (COC).
Developed the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and trained over 60
Watch Officers and COC personnel.
. Created 6TH Marines' Military Operations on Urban Terrain SOP, providing
best practices for urban combat, battle drill tactics and coordination
procedures to Iraq bound units.
Platoon Commander, 4TH Platoon, 1ST Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team
(1998-2001)
Led an elite specially organized, trained and equipped 40-man platoon,
tasked with performing Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection (AT/FP) missions
in support of U.S. Navy's Fleet Commanders.
. Led Platoon performing autonomous security missions in support of the
U.S. Navy assets in the Arabian Gulf, to include security for State
Department personnel, FBI agents, and other interagency personnel in
Aden, Yemen, investigating the terrorist attack on the USS COLE.
