Six Sigma, Quality Assurance, Lean Enterprise, Production Planning and Control, Supply Chain: design,
modeling and optimization, Team Building, Revenue Management, Facilities Design, Linear Programming,
Stochastic Methods
PROJECTS
Auto-Gyro Flight Project (Quality Assurance), Spring 2013
Collaborated with a group of 5 to develop an auto-gyro design to improve the flight time to be greater
than or equal to 350 centi-seconds
Validated the consistency of gage measurements and closeness of the measurements with reference value
with Gage linearity and bias study by recording the flight times of 40 auto gyros
Examined the gage repeatability and reproducibility by recording the flight times of 10 auto gyros tested
with 2 operators, each replicated 2 times
Implemented a fractional factorial design to analyze how each of the parameters affected flight times and
developed a response surface design to augment the fractional design and arrive at the optimum design
Emergency Facility Location and Optimum Assignment of Ambulances for the Required
Assistance (Facilities Design), Spring 2013
Formulated a method using minimax approach to optimally locate emergency health care centers in
Oklahoma city, to minimize the time taken to address the emergency calls
Devised an algorithm to assign facilities, to take the shortest possible time, to attend to emergency calls
Incorporated the real life traffic congestion problem in the model for locating the emergency health care
centers and routing the ambulances to the call location
Collaborated with team members to program a matlab code for optimal location and assignment of
emergency health care centers to respond to emergency calls
Contributed to develop a simulation of the proposed solution using Arena software
Six Sigma Process Improvement Project at UB (Six Sigma), Fall 2012
Collaborated with 5 students for the Six Sigma Project to improve the feedback collection process from
students and employers at the UB Career Fair
Evaluated and analyzed the current process using Six Sigma methodology to identify areas for
improvement
Designed a way to improve the process through the aid of DMAIC, Why-why root cause analysis and
fish-bone diagram
Offered recommendations based on the principles of Six Sigma and set goals which had the potential to
improve student feedback by 50% and employer feedback by 30% in the first year itself
