Director of Health Services July 2008- Present Michael Dunn Center

Manage all aspects of a department with 118 positions including a Medical Residential Program, a School Health

Program, a Case Management Department and a newly developed Therapy Department. Michael Dunn Center serves

individuals with developmental disabilities primarily funded via a Medicaid Waiver program. During the past year we

became eligible to bill Medicare and develop a therapy department due solely to my research and perseverance.

Medicare billing will assist this non- for –profit agency to continue to provide services. I have been a key leader in

financial savings and quality improvement since joining this team.

Nursing Case Management September 2007-August 2008 Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center

RN Case Manger for Oncology and Neurology units with a daily average of 50-60 patients. Worked with multiple

teams to ensure timely treatment, evaluate the severity of illness and intensity of service, responsible for facilitating

timely discharges.

Nurse Manager May 2003-August 2007 National Healthcare Corporation

Farragut Location-Responsible for hiring and training of new employees for an expansion project. Became certified

and taught CNA classes, provided wound care consultation, completed MDS reports, staff management. After the new

building was fully operational, I was asked to move to the Athens location and chose not to drive that far.

Fort Sanders Location-Director of wound prevention for 172 bed skilled and long term care beds. Developed systems

and training to decrease the development of pressure ulcers and other skin integrity issues. These systems and training

classes are still being utilized today.

ICU Staff Nurse January 1997-May 2003 Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee

Registered Nurse in ICU for critically ill medical, surgical, and pulmonary patients. Trained and concentrated in

immediate post open heart recovery. ACLS Certified. Worked in Cardiac Rehabilitation providing patient and family

education; worked with insurance providers for pre-certifications.
