Payroll Controller administering monthly and four-weekly
payroll including
calculation from clock cards of overtime, SSP, SMP and
holiday pay.
Sept 1997 - Mar 1998 NEC House
Payroll Controller calculating a weekly payroll for
approximately 1000
employees.

Payroll/Accounts. Assisting with the payroll for
approximately 20,000
pensioners including balancing for month end.
This also involved ex-patriots paying taxes to the country
in which they were living rather than the UK.

Wages Administrator. Manual processing of timesheets and
calculation of
shift rates. This was a construction payroll with self
employed employees s well as
those taxed under PAYE.

Wages Controller. Payroll bureau where I processed the
payroll for weekly,

Wages Administrator. Part of a team where we processed
payrolls for 6,000.
There were manual payrolls on Kalamazoo and an in-house
system for the factories
And shops.

Wages Clerk. I started here as a junior payroll clerk and
was later promoted to
payroll clerk. Most of the calculations were manual and
sent to a bureau for
processing.
Summary of Experience, Ability and Personal Information
With well over thirty years' experience I feel that I know the role inside
out. The reason that I enjoy payroll is that I like to see a job through
from start to finish and the work never tends to be boring due to its
variety.
I try my best to be polite to everybody that I have to deal with even when
under pressure. I feel that I am loyal to an employer and that I am
committed to my work.
