I have extensive knowledge in negotiation and maintenance of cost-effective
contracts and master service
agreements with qualified Subcontractors, Vendors and Customers. I
coordinate and monitor contract
execution, including, but not limited to change orders on services to
completion throughout the life (and
sometimes after) of a project. On a daily basis, I work with contractors,
outside construction managers, special
inspectors, and Company staff (involving 6 different departments, ie.,
Accounting (AR, AP, Payroll), Electrical,
Oil/Gas/Heavy Industry, Underground, Water, Asphalt/Paving) to ensure
contract compliance, and coordinate
and facilitate meetings as required.
I evaluate and document vendor, subcontractor and contractor performance,
enforcing compliance with
different contract requirements for each as no one project is alike and
although operating with templates is my
basis, each must be tailored; and takes corrective action, as necessary.
I do act as liaison between company
and contractors, and direct the resolution of contract disputes, utilizing
communication and negotiation tactics
learned in the field, but also with my Business degree.
As I work in the Contracts department, I do not interact with contractor
invoices and processes Accounts
Payable invoices for payment. I have worked in this position before and as
said before, have a degree with fully
demonstrable capabilities. I am fully able to process, enter, match and
code invoices in addition to rectifying
and resolving invoice discrepancies (I currently do some of this now).
Resolving discrepancies in job scope,
especially since I would be familiar with the contract from the get-go and
its requirements, protocols and
regulations would be a breeze to identify schedule, price, freight charges,
quantity, and payments therein.
I currently handle inquiries regarding order/PO or payment status my name
and position is the "go to" for all
and any paperwork coming in and going out of our office when overseeing a
project, from bid to final payment.
In addition, I oversee and manage many blanket accounts and act as a
liaison for heavy industry clients of which
we have held relationships over decades. I am very familiar with
initiating and follow-up with contractors with
a professional demeanor and tact; suppliers and departments as to status or
problem resolution of contracts,
orders, or change orders; I try to find an answer if I do not have one and
everyone knows that they can come to
me to get the job done well.
I can dutifully demonstrate leadership ability and excellent communication
skills. I have a talent for building team strength, and coaching others
effectively as I enjoy helping people learn. I have well developed
administrative skills, use analytical ability to gather and summarize data,
solve problems and prioritize work, especially as I love to wear many hats
and learn the intricate company strategies for success. I have excellent
Microsoft Office skills with an advanced level of skill in Excel and Power
Point, utilized every day at work and home as well as taught in school.
I have a Business Degree and almost a decade of experience in a corporate
environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

I have experience in domestic contracts preparation, as well as negotiation
and administration for 4 years in my current position. I have heavy
industry, private and commercial business relationship liaison experiences
for current customers which are very large in the construction industry and
I have established and maintain positive and cooperative customer contact.
I interface with 6 different departments throughout the company and sister
companies all over the Southern California area. I have very sound
administration skills in managing contracts and a very large accuracy rate
as so much depends on getting things right the first time, every time. I
am extremely flexible and make progress with limited resources in a dynamic

construction industry contracts are flying through the door and must fly
even faster out.
