Objective:
To obtain a position with possibilities of advancement utilizing my current skills and experience from below and
new skills acquired on the job.
Experience:
PVA (Precision Valve and Automation), Cohoes NY, 2011-2013
• I took the position with PVA to get back into manufacturing and management. I was hired to manage a newly
acquired Machine Shop. While learning this new position and working side by side with the machine shops
prior owner I discovered that 95-100% of his/my time consisted of scheduling the work. And although I setup a
timed transitional shift of responsibilities to free myself up to better manage and not schedule, it was decided
by upper management to use this plan but to have myself continue to schedule and give the manager position to
a senior PVA employee. I accepted this role positively and continued to help build and improve the scheduling
processes and assist in managing as needed. During this transition I was also given the responsibility of a new
role as a Safety Coordinator. Unfortunately, do to company downsizing and restructuring my position was
terminated.
• As the Machine Shop Manager/Scheduler I was responsible for quality, CIP, efficiencies, scheduling work,
requisitioning of raw materials, personnel issues, shipping & receiving of outside processed parts, machine
maintenance and payroll. We achieved roughly 30% growth the first year and 50% more growth the second
year and had our two largest projects on record. Throughout this time I lead the team in scheduling the
workload and coordinating job functions to make sure everything was completed on time.
• As the Safety Coordinator I started a safety team and built the necessary programs to ensure a safe working
environment including HAZCOM, LOTO, and Electrical Safety to name a few. I was also trained to train our
employees for forklift certifications.

AAA Northway, Schenectady NY, 2010-2011
• I worked for AAA for a brief time as a Fleet Supervisor. I took this position when my time was finished at
Essex because I did not want to become stagnant and left only because I thought I had found a great long term
opportunity at PVA.
• As the Fleet Supervisor I oversaw ERS fleet drivers, fleet vehicles and the fleet Garage. My Duties included
safety, efficiencies, scheduling, vehicle maintenance, payroll, cash bag transactions, purchasing and inventory
control for fleet supplies and personnel issues.
• During my short time with AAA Northway I was championed to take on several large projects with great
success including to build a “Daily Operations Guide”. This is a tool for the drivers to clearly define all their
daily procedures and how they are to be done to help build structure and consistency within the fleet. This is a
living document that is the corner stone of AAA’s procedure implementation. It was released in the fall of 2010
with great success and is still used and growing today.

Active Industries/Essex, Clifton Park NY, 1995-2010
• I was with Active Ind. which became part of Essex for 14 years starting as a machine operator and working my
way to become the Production Manager, ISO Management Rep and Safety Manager. Unfortunately they moved
operations to Fort Wayne IN and although I was offered a position to relocate and continue with them I
declined.
• As the Production Manager I was responsible for quality, CIP, efficiencies, scheduling work, personnel issues,
shipping/receiving, machine maintenance, payroll and purchasing of all MRO & packaging items. Lead team to
keep up with a record breaking year in 2008 while setting record lows in corrective actions including (internal
nonconformance’s, customer complaints and customer rejections).
• As the ISO Management Rep I was responsible for the periodic review and updates of the QMS by making sure
our processes were current, documented and they met or exceeded the standard in support of our ISO
registration and our Continuous Improvement Programs. Completed our ISO 9001:2008 Recertification Audit
on August 4,5,6 of 2009 with zero findings
• As the Safety Management Rep I lead the safety team making sure all safety programs and training records
were current and safe practices were followed throughout the facility. I helped create and critique programs
before they were implemented to ensure they captured all facets of our facility. We had 28 programs
implemented and we closed business at 1600+ days without a lost time accident.
