Experience:

Provide management with all financial and statistical information and

metrics relating to company operations.

Manage all aspects relating to the month-end close such as the General

Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit and Collections,

Payroll, Human Resources, Fixed Assets, Capital Budget, and Bank Recs.

Prepare and examine monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Compile and analyze statistical and financial reports using computerized

accounting systems.

Consult in the day-to-day operations of the district as part of the

Supervise staff up to 9 accounting and office personnel.

Maintain treasury functions regarding daily cash flow of operations.

Institute internal controls and procedures for all accounting operations

including Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

Accomplishments:

Decreased the accounting close from 10 days to 5 days at a division of a

Fortune 500 Company. Instrumental in process reengineering to streamline

the whole accounting process and attaining cooperation from all departments

over a 2-year time period to meet corporate mandates. Resulted in a

decrease of 5 days of the accounting close so that financial numbers could

be reported to Wall Street in a more timely manor.

Primarily responsible for the successful billing software conversion ($25

million annually) from stand-alone TRUX software to customized Fortune 500

corporate software on AS400 platform upon acquisition. Worked with

corporate programmer for appropriate mapping and with billing staff for

implementation, account review + corrections, and new procedures. This

year long project resulted in the successful conversion and implementation

of 4,000 accounts. Also oversaw prior billing software conversion RAMS to

TRUX.

Acquisition integration of 2 private companies that were in disarray.

Using vast knowledge and experience as Accounting Manager at start up

division with Fortune 500 Company, was able to implement and streamline all

accounting policies and procedures. Created the monthly accounting and

close cycle, which then led to expand duties for project management and

became a valuable member of senior management.

Oversaw Collection initiative by implementing incentive programs and

improved customer relations procedures. Resulted in reduction of DSO from

52 to 39 days and $200K collected off the street. Helped reduce bad debt

to less than 0.15% of sales and maintained an over 90 balance of less than

0.50%, which exceeded corporate goals.

Managed part of the process of many company-wide price increases to help

increase retention by 20%.
