Over 10 years of project management, quality control inspection and
geotechnical / environmental investigation experience of a large number of
projects that included MTO / ORC / TRCA projects, residential subdivisions,
industrial / commercial parks, municipality and regional road
rehabilitations / re-constructions, trunk sewer installation, bridges,
slope studies and investigative studies in the Greater Toronto Area.
Duties and responsibilities also included writing geotechnical
investigation proposals, meeting regularly with other project partners,
coordinating with clients, reviewing project drawings & technical reports
prepared by others, etc. Possess excellent communication skills. Mr.

Duties and Responsibilities
Planned, organized and carried out geotechnical / environmental
investigation and evaluated field data to obtain parameters for design of
foundations, etc. (Partial list provided below).
Managed a large number of MTO / ORC / TRCA / housing projects,
commercial/industrial parks, installation of trunk sewer & water main,
evaluation of pavement structure for reconstruction/rehabilitation of
street sections. Provided professional geotechnical / environmental
engineering advisory services to the clients to ensure compliance with
relevant codes, standards / procedures.
Regularly communicated with clients and project partners to discus
development related issues including scheduling and budget control.
Coordination with other technical partners. Prepared weekly summary reports
for clients, invoices, etc.
Reviewing drawings & technical reports prepared by others, etc.
Preparation of brief summaries/evaluation reports, etc., based on soil and
asphalt inspection & testing.
Writing proposals for subsoil investigation.
Managing and directing the junior engineers to undertake day to day
inspections of the works maintaining a very high level of safety awareness.
Resolved all site issues. Established the Project Execution Plan, Health
and Safety Plan and Quality Control Plan. Established weekly meetings to
review project status.
Conducting investigations for cracks and settlement in buildings,
underpinning of foundations as well as cracks and subsidence in the
existing pavements.
Carrying out slope stability analysis using software packages for a large
number of projects.
Installation and monitoring settlements under CP Rail during installation
of sewer by tunneling in Scarborough, ON.
Carried out design of pile foundations using static & dynamic formulae, and
supervise installations.
Performed field inspection and evaluated the condition of subgrade for
underground utilities. Provided recommendations for subgrade/trench
slope/granular base stabilization due to construction under inclement
weather/severe ground seepage condition, etc.
Performed inspection of subgrade for conventional footings, caissons, etc.
Performed inspection of stormwater management pond slopes to provide
recommendation for selection of liners, subdrains, if required, etc.
Planned & implemented engineered fill operations, issued certificates,
assessed existing pavement, curb condition, and provided recommendation for
their rehabilitation & reconstruction.
Inspected visually existing ravine slope and recommended protection
measures using as deemed necessary for their stabilization.

Rehabilitation of Highway 21 from Bayfield to Goderich, Ontario: Conducted
a geotechnical / environmental investigation for replacement of seven
existing culverts using tunneling technique. The project highway is about
20 km long stretching northerly from about 1.85 km south of Bayfield River
Bridge (Bayfield) to about 0.17 km north of Huckins Street (Goderich),
Ontario.
Geotechnical / environmental Investigation for New Pipeline for Aylmer
Ethanol Plant, Town of Aylmer, County of Elgin, Ontario: The project
entailed advancing of 76 boreholes for installation of approximately 30 km
long new pipeline within the allowance of existing roads in the County of
Middlesex, Ontario. The proposed pipeline beginning at Bradley Avenue at
north of Highway 401/Exit 195, traversed towards north along eight local
and one regional roads, to end at the Aylmer Ethanol Plant located at the
intersection of Imperial Road and Progress Drive.
Ontario Realty Corporation, Ontario: Carried out a geotechnical /
environmental investigation at 16 OPP sites across Ontario in support of
the proposed renovation of existing facilities in Ontario.
Infrastructure Ontario, Ontario: Additional Geo-environmental Investigation
for the proposed Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) facility located on Hwy 12
in Orillia, Ontario. The works included performing extensive slope
stability analysis.
TRCA, Toronto, Ontario: Carried out a geotechnical investigation, slope
stability and erosion risk assessment for a section of the valley slope
associated with Humber River located on north side of the dwelling at 51
Deer Valley Drive, Bolton, Ontario.
Toronto Hydro Electric System, Toronto, Ontario: Carried out a
geotechnical/ environmental investigation for the proposed Gas Treatment /
Compression Facilities at 38933 Southminister Bourne and Cogeneration Plant
at 38024 John Wise Line, London,ON.
Region of Peel, Ontario: Geotechnical and environmental investigation to
provide the geotechnical design information for Class Environmental
Assessment study and preparation of details for about 4.8 km section of
Bovaird Drive in the City of Brampton, Ontario.
Regional Municipality of Durham, Town of Ajax, Ontario: Conducted
geotechnical / environmental investigation to provide geotechnical design
information for the Class Environmental Assessment and Detailed Design of
Westney Road in the Town of Ajax, ON.
Build Toronto Inc., Toronto, Ontario: Carried out a geotechnical /
environmental investigation for the redevelopment of three properties: 154
Front Street East, 64 -70 Cordova Avenue, and 60 Atlantic Avenue in
Toronto, Ontario.
Town of Markham, Ontario: Conducted a geotechnical investigation for the
new (replacement) Tannery Pond pedestrian bridge (P56) across the Robinson
Creek in the Town of Markham, Ontario. Inspected, monitored and reported
during construction works.
