managed a total of 50 full time staff and up to 125 temporary employees.
Fully responsible for P&L for the facility.
< Served as Project Manager for the on-time, at budget rack installation,
and played a key role in the successful relocation of operations from
Florida to current Tennessee location, with minimal impact to the
business and client requirements. In addition, assisted closely during
the Great Plains RF system installation, configuration, and user
training initiative.
< Achievements also included reducing headcount by 15% through
productivity improvements, and decreased transportation costs by
negotiating and securing a contract with a dedicated outbound carrier.

Responsible for a 280,000 square foot distribution center servicing
750,000 direct marketing customers, 6 direct reports and 180 full time
employees, multi-shift, non-union operation. Accountable for P&L.
< In approximately 18 months, achieved accuracy from 99.50% to 99.95%,
slashed headcount by 30% through improved picking procedure, and cut
operating costs by $450,000 with no outsourcing requirements.
Director of Distribution & Supply Chain 2004 - 2006
Waiora USA
Directed a full time staff of 80 employees, and managed daily
operations of a 175,000 square foot, non-union facility. Responsible for
mentoring and directing 5 direct reports, and developed policies,
processes, and procedures to ensure operations aligned to client and
corporate needs. Personally negotiated contracts and service level
agreements with manufacturers and transportation carriers, and assisted
with budgeting, safety, and other key functions.
< Successfully implemented Pick to Light, and collaborated with executive
management at Parcel Pool, orchestrating zone skipping into USPS
network.
Director of Distribution & Transportation 1999 - 2004
Rexall Sundown
Managed 3 divisions, Rexall Showcase, Sundown Vitamins, and Rexall
Sundown, Inc, and served on integration team during merger along with
Enrich International into Unicity Network. Directed operations of 3
regional distribution centers totaling approximately 600,000 square feet
and serving valued Wal-Mart Stores and other large retail customers.
Managed 6 direct reports and 340 full time employees, and numerous part
time temporary labor personnel in a non-union environment. Played a
leading role in special organizational improvement projects, and closely
supervised daily operations to ensure revenue and profit targets achieved
or exceeded, year in and year out.
< Project Manager for the Pick to Light implementation, and served on
integration team merging Rexall Showcase International and Enrich
International. As Project Coordinator, helped plan and execute closing
down and merging of MetRx operations.
< Rexall named Vendor of the Year in 2000 by Wal-Mart.
Distribution Center Manager 1996 - 1998
South Atlantic Cold Storage
Responsible for management of a 480,000 square foot, multi-shift, non-
union facility with 220 non-exempt full time employees, servicing Save-A-
Lot Food Stores.
< Developed and implemented SOPs resulting in higher productivity,
improved quality and customer satisfaction, and enhanced safety
results, including non loss time accidents during tenure.
< Effectively managed all perishable grocery operations.
Operations Manager 1992 - 1996
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
Enjoyed numerous successes as Operations Manager for a 1,200,000
square foot distribution center employing 525 non-union full time
employees. Managed 8 direct reports, and consistently achieved corporate
expectations. Responsible for entire perishable operation.
< Served on numerous special project teams, including 4 startups
(Brooksville and Winter Haven, Florida, Red Bluff, California, and
London, Kentucky). Achieved 2,000,000 safety hours with no loss time
for accidents at Winter Haven, and a 99.996% accuracy rating at Red
Bluff.
