Distinguishing Accomplishments
Greystar Corporation ($750M+ leader in facilities, operations, maintenance
and asset management services)
Built lucrative relationship with new client. Greystar, a $750M+ firm
serving global oil and gas customers, secured initial contract with $132B
Eni Oil & Gas to optimize performance of Maximo system for operation in
Libya. Established trusting relationship with local management to drive
improvements ranging from 35% reduction in safety incidents, $5M in
inventory and other cost savings, and secured $13M in new contracts.
Vail Resorts Inc. ($869M resort developer)
Salvaged major project. Vail Resorts' $200M hotel/retail/condo complex was
18 months behind schedule and $40M over budget, with excessive lost-time
accidents further impacting performance. Built group of five independent
project managers into cohesive team, developing an aggressive schedule to
enable delivery within six month timeline. Completed project on schedule,
recovering $15M in overcharges while reducing costly accident rate to zero.
Achieved significant cost savings across multiple projects. Vail Resorts'
building plan was budgeted at $10B over 10 years. Based upon accurate/risk
sensitive planning and a stellar project completion record; negotiated a
20% insurance fee reduction. Netted $50M total savings across several
hotel, condo and mixed-use retail projects.
Vratsinas Construction Company ($555M commercial builder)
Eliminated lost-time accidents. Vratsinas Construction, a Top 100 US
contractor, needed an upgraded safety program to help minimize costs and
ensure crew continuity on $200M shopping center project. Initiated strategy
implementing a formal safety program including a rigorous safety
orientation and ongoing task hazard meetings; resulting in just 2 medical
only incidents, across 2M total man-hours, saving $1M+ in process.
Tradesmen International (national commercial construction staffing company)
Turned around failing operation. Local office was understaffed and losing
clients right and left. Worked with GM to revamp operational/administrative
systems while assuming safety director role. Built staff to optimum level,
expanded customer base, reduced accidents 78%. Exceeded corporate revenue
goals by 42%.
Immunex Corporation (now part of Amgen)
Played important role in resolving key compliance issue. Expanding biotech
company was documenting its three separate production lines with a mix of
manual and automated systems and this violation of FDA mandates needed to
be fixed. Applied technical expertise to transition all record keeping and
safety to existing Maximo system, ensuring that the FDA's pending
production line shutdown order was cancelled. Saved Immunex $90M.

Facilitated successful merger. When Immunex agreed to a buyout by Amgen, it
had to comply with FDA mandate and furnish key customer with all pertinent
product and production process data within six weeks. The penalty for non-
compliance was $300M. Contracted with database expert to assist with the
programming of all necessary data removal. Validated all results for FDA,
enabling Immunex to meet its critical compliance deadline.
Servicemark Tenant Services (this startup facilities management firm is now
part of Unico Properties)
Upgraded service capability to foster long-term success. Servicemark had
contracted to manage 7M sq. ft. of office/retail space, but lacked the
systems and procedures to meet its obligations. Implemented Maximo system,
automating order/invoicing, inventory, and safety to boost efficiency and
reduce accidents. Trained all workers. With AT&T, developed hand-held
service monitoring system that heightened service quality and market
impact.
Denver Health Medical Center (DHMC)
Employed technical expertise to facilitate major cost savings. Government
informed DHMC that it had been overpaid $3M for Medicare patient services.
Initiated project to more accurately assess usable billing space, finding
that it had been underestimated. DHMC justified all prior Medicare
billings, avoiding multi-million dollar pay-back expense and was able to
increase Medicare revenues 10% based upon the more accurate billable space
finding.
